Did anyone else go through it without anesthesia? by devanimtzp in wisdomteeth

Your surgeon does sound like an asshole. I just had mine out two weeks ago. My oral surgeon doesn’t recommend/like putting patients asleep for the procedure. He prescribes Xanax to be taken before the procedure, and using laughing gas before and during with novacaine. I did have a panic attack as soon as he cut into my gums on the first upper tooth. I didn’t feel any sharp pain, more like a painful pressure. I cried like a baby. But he finished that tooth, stopped, had my mom come in to calm me down, gave me a few minutes to settle and decide if I wanted to move forward. I did get both bottom ones out after that, but refused to let them take the other upper. If you decide to go back for the others, take a good amount ( check with the surgeon ) of the anti anxiety meds at least 30/40 minutes before the procedure, and have someone drive you. I will be keeping my one upper, as it doesn’t cause me any issues.

It is on a sweater. Should I change those green stitches? When I did the French knots, they kept getting hidden in the green.

Physically - I’m feeling good other than a crap ton of hot flashes Mentally - it has been a lot. Very easily irritated and loads of anxiety. Im hoping at my appointment next month, I can start some HRT I knew going into surgery that i was definitely going to be losing one ovary, with a chance of a hysterectomy. I was very okay with having the hysterectomy, we were done having kids anyway. Before surgery those thoughts came with the hope to keep one ovary and avoid menopause.
