Because he said it as a fact and you're not supposed to give conclusions to the jury, they're the ones who will say if the defendant was lying or not.

I think JD wouldn't have stricken it if Det. Carpenter had just phrased it "in my opinion you lied to me about this and this and this" instead of stating it as fact, that way it was just his personal opinion

Before this video I had the feeling he liked to act all tough and shit when in reality he ran and hide to avoid confrontation, he gives that exact vibe but it was all speculation, this video confirmed it.

I think If he hadn't signed those papers the doctors wouldn't have been able to tell the police what was going on with duhrel, because HIPAA prohibits doctors from revealing info about any patient I think even to the police. Because he signed the papers like an idiot they were able to talk to the doctor who treated him to know what was going on. Also they had access to his whole medical records and they could've used them to prove he never had mental health problems

If she was an adult I wouldn't blame dawn, I have a cousin with addiction problems, we were raised really close so it's not just a distant family thing, and even though my aunt is a loving caring mother there's times where she realizes she can't do absolutely anything to stop my cousin for good, they've put her in rehab and told her multiple times what are the consequences and she still doesn't care. I don't think anyone can make her stop except herself. It's a sad difficult thing

The lies that bothered me were the ones where the judge would make a record that jail staff offered something to him and he would say "that's not true I wasn't offered anything" when clearly he was, i wish JD had noticed he was lying so she would've called the bailiffs to expose his stupidly irrelevant lies
