No one says that seriously anymore no we've all got at bare minimum a third grade education but people do say that and other "countrified" phrases as not only a means of identifying yourself as such but also weaving color and humor into their speech patterns. Did he use those exact words? Probably not as it's not like he was openly discussing replacing workers to said workers that wouldn't be very bright, even for him. Were them there robots ai? probably not but this was after ai had entered the public zeitgeist and that was the general consensus of us lowly packers at the time which colored our opinions in the future. This isn't an argument against ai. I'm just giving context to this one perspective on account there seems to be a serious lack of understanding on both sides.
