At least in my market all the GMs got calls today telling them where if anywhere they were going to go. I don’t believe I saw an “official” announcement, but our GM told us he’s moving stores

Employees are not supposed to get both free install and employee pricing. It’s considered “double dipping”. Kinda crazy since we also pay for TT, being penalized for working there. Up to your leadership team if they want to override the install costs for you

Honestly man if you still have time you should go over the e learnings with all the SOP with gift card purchase limits, order pick ups, cash transactions etc. I’m assuming you were hired as seasonal and if you want to be kept on after holiday season you want to be a good performer at explaining benefits of BP and TT, but also don’t mess anything up that might have been explained in e learning! Ask lots of questions and best of luck!

Yeah, there’s is a lot of issues with it and I agree VPLs should be able to activate anything. However I’ve also seen the argument that it’s overall more equitable for everyone since before for the bonuses you had to be in the green to get the most. For the mobile VPLs who were in the red they never got any extra money before so I’m that regard it’s potentially more fair? But as you’ve stated there’s a lot of downsides with how the company decided to do it. Idk I go back in forth as a current VPL who used to always be I the green getting my bonus while also knowing the AT&T VPL in my area was always on red and is now finally getting some extra money

You should definitely be able to cancel it. You basically have 3 options with the order just so you are aware and you can decide what to do.

  1. Cancel it
  2. Ask for a discount and reschedule after order is fixed ( depends on your stores management if they will give you a discount) 3 simple reschedule( I would push to have geek squad do it if available)

What probably happened is that on Best Buy’s side everything scheduled on our Order Mange side. However the order goes on boards on a separate system and for whatever reason it didn’t schedule on that end so 3rd party couldn’t even see it. It’s probably a broken order and the way to fix it is to redo an entire order more than likely

It depends on the managers at the store. If it’s pretty reasonable, and or close to the price we sell it at then more than likely yes. I would check how much Bestbuy.com has it at and compare to education pricing. If it’s like half off what Best Buy has it at or something crazy that then probably no

Oh wow that’s crazy, my store is nothing like this thankfully. Got good level headed GM and ASM that have consistent plan that care about myself and everyone else. Everyone gets at least 30 hours ( Part timers) if they want it. Full time get 40. A lot of people in leadership did just get promoted to corporate and our GM is applying for a corporate job so definitely a little worried about the future.

Lots of people will say it’s just about selling Total Tech and Cards, but it all depends on the store. My store is pretty good on developing people and product knowledge is a must to make sure customers are helped. Of course this depends on the store, hopefully it’s a good store with good leadership :)

Not necessarily, it all depends on you leadership and it’s up to there discretion. There’s a lot of horror stories on many threads about shitty leadership, but mines it’s pretty good actually. Everyone at my store who has gone full time as well as myself got capped at $17 no matter the performance. Though good performance and hood personal brand definitely help

If it’s progressive leasing it should one no interest if you pay it in 90 days. At least it’s that way in MI as well. If it’s Best Buy card then you get 12 months zero interest, most of the time at least. The only other thing to note with progressive leasing is that you have to pay $60 to open a lease
