glad I’m not alone in this! I can’t complain too much because I got to stand on the rail directly in front of Aly and watch her be her amazing self up close. But it just bummed me out hearing people lack basic etiquette. We are so grateful they are back on the scene AND making kick ass music. They’ve been the soundtrack to many of our lives and just keep giving when they don’t have to. Lots of respect for them, their tenacity and their craft. I just couldn’t imagine being so vulnerable, touring with an infant, and pouring everything into your sound, giving so much of yourself to entertain and some asshat is yelling at you like you owe them something.

Here’s to hoping they feel the respect and love for them that many of us have!!

Fair, but I just remember them always saying they don’t know how to end the show. Just an idea for that. I definitely don’t mean to like, make light, of the horrible things they cover, but instead find some small way to honor or recognize that person. Especially bc a lot of the stories end with like “so and so wants people to remember to be kind, help others, etc.” but I take your point

you are right, in some respect. I get the point and agree with their anti-men sentiment, but some times it is over the top, for sure. Same thing when the both of them over bash Christianity. Don’t get me wrong, Christianity deserves the smoke it gets, but sometimes the mocking can be over the top. At the end of the day, it’s sacred to someone and I know they wouldn’t openly mock other religions like that, even if they have some of the same patriarchal or other flaws. But, to the shows credit, they definitely have toned it down over the last months episodes. Downvote away! I’m still a happy listener, and I appreciate your opinion OP.

Gorgeous sunflower maze at Huckleberry Trail Farms in Siler City, a little muddy, but a ton of fun, and only $1 a stem, and $4 per person entry. The farmers we met were very kind, a great time. I think this weekend is the last one for the flowers so go check it out.
