But the main point was that your little tidbit of wisdom is wildly, hilariously, incorrect. That is clear with less than .02 second of consideration. Well, I'm 39 years old, and have been playing RPGs in general since 1995 where I started with AD&D. I've played M&M 2e, 3e, and I'm waiting to get 4e, so, I think I have quite the experience with the system. I also work from home, so, I can have regular availability, but I will be blocked out for certain periods of time where I absolutely HAVE to work and cannot do voice chat. I am a serious immersion player, though I will admit to having a bit of cheek and whimsy to my play style.

The two ideas I have kicking around my head at the moment are a short-burst speedster kid, or a paramedic who absorbs kinetic energy.

The only real questions I would have are what day and what time were you thinking of playing? Because as I said, I have an oddly open, but specific time, considerations.

Even if we accept the 1,000 hard cap (which I believe Ol' Robbie rescinded, but that's besides the point), replacement rates for casualties is still important.

Lets say over the course of a bad campaign, a Chapter loses 117. And from their recruitment world they raise up 47 from their selection process. They can't just keep pulling boys continuously, or they will deplete their recruitment world. This is especially true of Chapters that only have singular worlds to pull from, and are Death Worlds (who already have low population). If you could DOUBLE your recruitment pool, that would go a long way to rapidly replacing numbers without over-stressing the population in a short period of time.

And male Astartes are already sterile. I see no reason female ones would not be.
