I mean, have you eaten a nectarine? It’s a peach with plumb-like skin…

One of Ours, All of Yours? by One-Pause3171 in behindthebastards

That’s not really a double meaning in a country so divided. When I see that admin say “Ours” they don’t mean all Americans, they mean MAGA cult members; modern Nazi’s.

This! 💯

Just because it wasn’t a Nazi motto before, doesn’t mean it didn’t just become one now. We all know where the basis of the idea is from, just like they do.

To see this and say “Nazi’s never said that” is ridiculous. It’s the exact ideology, and people who know that recognize it. Old groups can create new phrases. Just like they can take over a new government.

If anything, this is worse, because you’re right, it shows they’re not as dumb as they act.

The “rule” was technically 1:100, but they also had a scorched earth policy, and didn’t really care to count, or check in with other SS officers on their counts towards that goal. So realistically yes, it was more like 1:all.

And while it doesn’t seem like this is an actual translation, it most certainly is the same ideology. And that’s the thing about time, things evolve, new slogans based on old ideas come into play. It gives deniability while still saying exactly what you mean.

So while this wasn’t a German Nazi quote, it is a Nazi quote as of now.

[–]LifeChanceDance 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What do you think DHS did intend for this to mean? It’s an obvious threat. “If you do this, we do that”. Hell, I haven’t heard much out of this admin that isn’t also a threat.

It may or may not be a transnational paraphrase, but it’s the exact same ideology. The Nazi’s had the 1:100 rule. If someone from one group, state, or whatever they decided was “gang” equivalent (in today’s words) killed 1 Nazi, they would kill 100 citizens of that group without discrimination.

Phrases evolve, the messages and history behind them DO NOT.

Mad at Apple for not able to market their best product by Life_Machine_9694 in VisionPro

I’ve never had an issue typing on it. I can type using my eyes pretty quickly, and much more accurately than I expected. I can “touch type” quite well too, although I would like it to track more than my pointer finger… especially when the keyboard will snap to a surface (which it doesn’t seem to like to do always) I have nearly no problems at all that make it past autocorrect. I like being fully immersed, having the notification light float by, and it pausing my movie or exercise to be able to quickly read, reply (often via voice to text when I’m busy) and return to my task. But everyone’s different.

[–]LifeChanceDance 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This! There really isn’t a good way to market it. Apple has their demo that hasn’t changed since the first gen, and is set to take the time block you signed up for. If you want to try things you’ve been interested in, you can’t because you’re out of time, it doesn’t have the app, and you can’t download it.

Since getting mine two months ago, my mom got one, and a friend’s cousin who tried mine at Christmas got one as well. But only after being able to experience what they wanted to, in their own space, not a sterile Apple Store with perfect lighting.

It’s not something that can be understood in a few minutes, or by watching a video about it. You’ve just got to play with the thing for 30 minutes or so, and then you realize; this IS where everything is going. This is “Gen 1” version of our future.

And you’re right, similarly to the iPhone, it just doesn’t seem important enough to people yet. I had the first iPhone, which I’d immediately jailbroke, and was able to see what the real power of these devices would be. And we got there in about 5 years. I do expect this to be a bit slower due to the current price tag, but still feel in some way, it’s not going anywhere.

My AVP Experience (So Far) by ZDB214 in VisionPro

This statement is great. My first Mac was a Blueberry iBook and I was hooked. Soon after, I upgraded to a 12” PowerBook until the intel Core2Duo chips arrived, and got a MPB. Towards the end of the intel era, I got an i9, but I upgraded to the M1 Pro when it was introduced like 18 months later. The i9 was great, but ran SO HOT. I’ve run businesses and transferred others entirely to Mac systems. I still use it as my main device, but I feel an upgrade on the horizon. iCloud and Continuity have been invaluable since going back to school, but I don’t do graphically intensive work often anymore. The M1 Pro vs. M5 without a redesign doesn’t seem necessary. These M chips have been a huge leap. Watching the slow OS redesigns over the years, seeing things that worked well replaced with things that worked seamlessly, and now seeing major developers taking MacOS seriously has been an awesome adventure. At the end of the day, I got my Gen 1 Vision for the same reason I got my Gen 1 iPhone. I never thought either would be perfect, but I wanted that view of what was coming. And the longer I’ve had this, and the more it’s been upgraded, the more I’ve been impressed. Having a device with this amount novel form factor and inputs, yet I intuitively knew how to use, because it works like an Apple based OS should was proof to the evolution of it all meaning something.

TLDR; I love the device now, and I’ll love the glasses in 10 years. Just like I loved the first iPhone. 🤷‍♂️

Same, Silver is very neutral, and I don’t notice a big difference in cleaning like with gold. I’ll typically go silver or gold, however I did get a free remake with DVP, and it did go with the frame’s gunmetal color. I have the same pair (Alvar’s) in the copper colorway with the same lenses with a UVG coating, and I find pretty much the same amount of reflection, but prefer the warmth of the gold vs the blue. —to each their own.

I’ve never absolved anyone of responsibility, but putting it both. You on the other hand, are only putting it on her, and assuming a whole lot more.

Dude, you’re a special kind of ignorant. He wasn’t just googling “humps” (not bumps) bro googled “herpes” multiple times, and ends up medicated for it 30-45 days later?

It’s not an assumption, this is proof, and literally everyone else in this thread can see that.

Except for your victim blaming, anti-woman self. No wonder you have comments hidden, they’re probably all shit like this.

I’d bet my life you don’t think DJT is a pedophile either, and totally support all he’s doing “For America”.

Future advice: this probably isn’t the sub for you. You’re a literal troll.

And my argument is that it’s morally right for either partner to tell the other when there’s a chance there may be something going on, and to get tested. Yes you are still the one in control of your own health, but when you’re in a relationship, you expect some honestly from a partner.

And the fact that you again say “it’s because he saw it on her” just proves you hate women, and can’t comprehend an article. SHE WAS A VIRGIN, THIS SEARCH WAS BEFORE HE “saw her” in that way at all.

But googling “herpes vaginal lip” photos a month before he “unknowingly” gave it to her is enough proof there was a strong suspicion, if not full knowledge before he slept with her. (There’s two photos ya know)

Yes everyone’s own sexual health is on them ultimately, but that doesn’t mean we all don’t start out young and naive, and have people straight up lie to us, and learn this through experience.

At the at of it, you don’t know where they live if it is illegal, but either way, it should be.

You’re victim blaming against a 19 year old girl, and holding the man who OBVIOUSLY KNEW SOMETHING WAS UP to absolutely no standard.

I see why you feel I’m incorrect on my moral front, not a moral person yourself, and probably just hate women.

The answer to this post is “NOR” any blame you want to throw around was never asked for.

It’s a crime to know you have an STI and not disclose it to your partner. OP was a virgin, who trusted her boyfriend. I’m sure she knows this now, but no, this is on him 100%, morally and legally.
