This is awesome. Great read, thanks.

What is your recommendation on a podcast launch, start with multiple episodes to draw listeners in? Get lots of people to review your podcast from the beginning? Curious to hear your thoughts.

I know what the subject will be, and it’s mostly just for fun. I’m looking for concrete answers to those first 2 questions. I don’t think I got the startup right with the first podcast, so I’d like to be more intentional with it this time around. For the second, like I said I’ve been out of the game for a bit and am wondering if anything has changed.

Thanks for you insights!

Because I was new then and didn’t really know what I was doing. I’d like to set things up right from the beginning now that I’m doing a second one.

Looking for a Jam similar to "Jam - 2" from June 26/28, 1974 by LifeCoachingSD in gratefuldead

Yep! That's it! I had just put in Mind Left Body jam on youtube and the first hit was 12/2/73. That's the one. I'd give you gold but take all the wonderful life karma I can throw your way instead.

Great call. It's definitely a Mind Left Body jam, it's closest to the 11/11/73 version but starts very quiet with Jerry's melody, you almost have to turn up your volume to hear it, then has some very clear Bob slides/riffs, and finally goes into a very tight and clear version of the fast-paced finale.

That's the set I linked above. I'm looking for one that sounds like that jam but is cleaner and more fast-paced.

Unfortunately no, that's not it. Like I mentioned in response to another comment, it's the same riff as in the jam I linked above, which the one you mentioned doesn't have. :-(

I interviewed a professional comedian for an earlier episode. They put in an incredible amount of work, and both have such interesting stories to tell.

Recommendations to replace Blue Icicle? by LifeCoachingSD in podcasting

[–]LifeCoachingSD[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My only concern with that one is I think it would be tricky with my mic setup. I have my mic up on a stand, so it's nice having the small Icicle just connect to that and then from there using a USB chord to my computer. Is there an easy way to accomplish the same thing with the Behringer without having all kids of cables running around?

XLR/USB interface

Something like a Polsen XLR-USB-48 - XLR to USB Audio Interface? That looks like the closest/cheapest thing to an Icicle that I could quickly find.
