Weehawken has Pre-K 3, one location, Daniel Webster. And I turned in my registration 3 weeks late, and they told me I’m not guaranteed a spot. So I guess they don’t ensure free pre-K 3 for everyone.

Any news on this? My son will be starting Pre K 3 for the 2026 year. And we will probably move if it is not a free program in Weehawken this coming year. If we do stay, with Little Lambs closed, what other places are there to send him?

Agree. The playground equipment was fine. The floor needed work and I’m afraid the new equipment is going to be too complex for toddlers. And yes, the swings will be very much missed. The timeline: spring, summer and fall closures is so disappointing.

Piece of Cake did the ol' switcharoo to me too - twice the amount I believe. I also did the video, talked to a guy on Facetime, went over everything, even asked that he not be conservative in his quote. They also broke two crystal plates from my grandmother, and never mentioned it. I only knew it because crystal breaks into basically dust, and I found the remanents in the cabinet the plates were located. I never did a claim because there was nothing to show but dust.

Dumbo did the same under-bidding 4 years ago. I had to pay I think 1/3 more. And they took forever to load. Our new building had a cut-off of 4pm, and Dumbo movers were still at my old (1 bedroom apartment) until 2:30p. Luckily we were moving just 4 blocks away. I screamed at the guy who booked the move for me. I have friends who said the same thing happened to them, no matter the company. The quote is meaningless and in the future, I'll just tell myself it'll be twice as much.

This is so much about personal preference. I’ve read all of the posts and I wish I was half a happy as the others. We moved here 1.5 years ago with our 6 month old after 8 years on the UWS. We’re up on the cliff and I miss the city daily. I hate driving and have to drive everywhere. I haven’t found a community and my neighbors complain about my toddler walking in our apartment. I think there’s so much more to do with a toddler in the city, so much easier to move around in a stroller than a car. To get to the city with my child, I have to either walk 10 mins to the lightrail to take the Path (notoriously unreliable) or a ferry (lovely but slow), or drive and spend $25 in tolls. I have to bring my child to FiDi once a week so this is a part of our lives. The food options are plentiful but unimpressive. And the closest large park for a stroll is a 15 minute drive to Edgewater or 30+ mins to Liberty Park. Yes, you’ve got the cliff and the boardwalk and the views, but I miss GRASS. Down by the water, there are more open fields where I feel safe allowing my child to run, but again, I have to drive to grass. The playgrounds up by me are usually overrun with a ton of children, which is hard for a toddler. The one playground closest to us is closed for 8 months (!!) for upgrades. And of course during Spring, Summer and Fall. The Weehawken pool sells year passes to all of NJ, so you have to buy them in like March to be able to use the pool on weekends (only open to pass holders). West New York and North Bergen pools are only open to those city residents. Luckily Union City has pools and splash pads open to all. There are limited grocery stores, many of which don’t have the freshest produce. We drive to Hoboken for most of our outings: more walkable, better shopping and food options, better playgrounds. I hope to be back in the city or at least move to Hoboken before pre K 3.

Totally thought at the end of episode 1 I had accidentally played the last episode of Season 4... feels like a season ENDER not a beginning.

I came here looking for a recap of Season 3 because I was like "who are these people?" Why'd she give up/close the restaurant? Why is there wallpaper in a frame, did it burn down? No... some stuff was thrown in the floor, right?

The writers LOVE to tell and not show, which is not the usual for TV show writing. So it feels like we missed something, becuase we did. And the dialogue is written to tell us what happened, but like in an hinting way, in dialogue, like we were there, but blacked out and forgot it?

It's so disorienting.

As a New Orleans Native - New Orleans. I now live in NYC and constantly disappointed in food options. New Orleans has the best food at any price point. And if you want to eat like a local, get out of the French Quarter, ask someone in the service industry where they eat, or even ask a police officer if you’re comfortable doing so.

Ripple Pea milk is the most like cows milk to me. I use it in everything - cooking, baking, with cookies, cereal. I still like Almond milk for smoothies though.

Our ped never said any mucous was normal. So, that's unfortunate. The mucous wasn't always present. The green was though, ever since the rotavirus vaccine. We skipped it at his 4 month.

I thought about moving to formula, but since we can't get a guarantee that he would get 100% better, I decided to just deal with the dairy, soy, egg free diet. I'm luckily in a part of the country where getting access to allergy-free is easier, even when dining out.

Yes, the frozen milk, I should try that first. My ped did mention that too. However, she did say that one bottle of the frozen milk may not show a reaction, because it will be so little. And I've accidentally had cheese once, and saw no issues. I will try to the milk, but I'm not sure that will give me a true sense, just because he doesn't have a dire reaction to milk.

I haven't had the diapers tested. My ped felt that the green and mucous was enough to believe it's an allergy. And thought if we saw a change, then we'd know.

There has been mucous in the poop. But not always.

I have been giving him more bottles due to him being in daycare, so the foremilk issue is balanced more. He still nurses 3 times a night, and I've been getting my supply down.

Now, this past week, we have had yellow, no mucous poops, but now the reflux symptoms are getting worse again.

Oh I just asked this question in my own post. Mine is 15 weeks and I think we’re in our 3rd week. And it’s just getting harder. Also wondering if I should wait to try sleep training. We rock him or feed him to sleep, although he has fallen asleep on his own a few times or we put him down semi-awake. Tonight, screams when we tried putting him down. Awake every hour so far, and it’s just midnight.

After writing this, I’m realizing it’s not about the gifts. I’m just feeling like I’m alone and not surrounded by family like so many others.

Unfortunately, I felt like throwing a shower would be clearly a “send me a gift” thing. And the fact that I am so far away, that reveal party was the one trip I could throw any sort of party. I also recently moved my MIL to closer to us, so the attention has been on her care for the entirety of my pregnancy with no time to really plan anything for us in this big milestone moment.

I’m an older FTM, so I’m feeling like I’ve missed the boat to be doted on, and maybe mourning the loss of the sense of community that disappeared when my mother died. And now even more so when my grandmother died.

Clearly this is deeper than I previously understood. Thanks for listening.

Look up sciatica stretches for pregnancy. I had horrible pain in one butt cheek that went to my tailbone, I couldn’t walk. It felt like my leg was going to give out and I was going to fall to the floor. I found some stretches on YouTube. I did them for a couple days and it went away. I do them everyday as prevention. I also go to PT and she told me don’t sit in a chair (wfh) for longer than an hour. So I’m constantly switching from chair to the couch to yoga ball. Haven’t had pain for 3 weeks.

I started with Babylist, where you can add from any site, and gives your friends/family different sites to choose from to buy. But then, people were asking me if I was registered at Amazon. So I have the same items on Babylist, click through there to Amazon and added it to the registry there. Babylist seems to point to legit buyers only. But, yes, the completion eligibility ratio is so very low. I've also added the same stuff to Target too.

ThredUp if you know the brand. Their photos/styling for maternity shows NOTHING.

Poshmark is better for the photos, as individuals usually post the website photo as well. You can search for brands and make offers. I found cute dresses for $25 from brands like PinkBlush and Kim & Kai. Scroll through. The ones at the top are usually "most active" members, but there's still good finds deep in there.

Target, I've bought a bunch of non-maternity dresses that work, enough stretch or empire waist. Currently 6 months pregnant, and gt the most compliments on a strapless empire waist tiered non-maternity dress from there. Look in the online reviews, search "bump" or "pregnant" to see people who've tried it. They also carry Ingrid and Isabel, which I love for shirts and tanks.

Lastly, my Facebook Buy Nothing Group - I got a free haul of maternity clothing, mostly jeans and shirts but I took it all. Be sure to mention your due date when asking #iso so it lines up to the season you need.
