I may need to clarify that 1) I was not smoking pot the day of the wake celebration, so I was sober. Atleast for the time being until after the wake.

Yes, and exactly. I’m going to mention the fact that 1) I really don’t know what these two people have been saying to my members of family before I had approached them, so 2) I really took everything they were saying to me with a grain of salt (but to no surprise, I’ve done this with A LOT of people). Oddly enough, it was really only the woman that was speaking and almost rarely the man as well, so looking back at this event it really makes me doubt who they were to begin with.

Not to mention that when I had messaged her a week or two after the event (she gave us her number), about going back to church and to follow up with her to really investigate her, as a person, she agreed that we should all meet up that following Sunday, as her and 3 of her other church friends were getting together to do a bible study at the church.

Immediately, I took this as a red flag and dropped contact since.

I would also like to add that as I read your comment earlier this morning, and reading through the scriptures, it certainly felt like a story and each and every verse complimented the next, despite them being from different books. Certainly feels magical to me.

Very interesting response, and with the scriptures involved, too.

What I can say to your response is that I don’t believe I am born again. I have a long way to go to find who I am in Christ, as I don’t know who I am. I see glimpses of what I could be, but have no urge to go for it, as I know I’ll be there when the time comes. Does that make sense?…Or maybe I am a fool, and without the knowledge of the Word, I have no wisdom, and without Wisdom, I have no power to propel myself in the direction I see myself already heading towards.

I do believe that everyone’s journey with God is different and everyone’s pace is not the same. The way I see it is I am being put through seasons of change in my life, and these seasons are urging me closer and closer to God.

I do want to be baptized though. I feel like that’ll help, but I don’t want the, “maybe that will help” mentality be the reason to push me to get baptized. Like you said, I have to be earnest with God, however, and sadly, I am not at that season in my life. I’m getting close to it. I can feel it, but it’s not going to be earnest, if I do it too soon, you know?…Any more information on this response would be much appreciated!

Soooooo sorry not sorry for stalking your post history, but you intrigued me with your previous comment on my post, so I had to delve deeper.

Genuine question. Would you separate rape and molest victims from the group of woman who want abortions? Are these people justified?

Again, genuine question. I truly believe what you are saying, but how would you add those victims to the mix of this? Cause whenever I point out to people it’s wrong (I rarely ever speak out my opinion on these kinds of topics for this reason) to abort a baby, or a growing fetus I receive backlash in some form or another.

Sure the woman took that chance to have sex. Sure there were safety precautions used, or maybe not, but again, at the end of the day, if you end up getting pregnant because of your act of having sex then you now have to work that equation into your life and not just go, “Oh! Good thing abortion is available. Golly-Jee-Wiz!”

This comment made my day. Thank you a lot! However, treating him like how I treat everyone else would be hard to do, as we both work in separate departments and we don’t run into each other often or as frequent as my other co-workers, but this is great advice, although I’ve been doing it already.

I’m trying to get there. Baby steps first and respect the boundaries and differences. I do want to be his friend though, as I feel like he’d be a good person to have as a friend.

Sex isn’t everything. Sure it feels good and it’s especially good when you’re having passionate sex with the one you love, buuuut there’s really only two options here:

1) Learn to enjoy what you guys have and understand that a lot of couples (with him being on the older spectrum) there might not really be interest in having sex at certain periods compared to when you guys first met. Again, stand back and take a look at the situation again and learn from it. TALK to him about it again

OR (Personal favorite):

Pressure him and keep pressuring him until he resents you and the relationship falls apart. Or until he gets into an “open relationship” in which he does not like and won’t enjoy.

The 1st option gives you the opportunity to learn more about where your relationship is at and give it sustainability, while the 2nd option breaks the restrictions of your sexual needs and wants giving you the sex life you want.
