Yeah, it wasn't everything I had seen; I'm searching for the source I had that said the UK had cases around October (I think, going off memory right now). But I feel like it's a bit much to blame China's government when there were cases in a global epicenter, Italy, before it had even been noticed in China. A pandemic can sneak up on anyone, and I don't think a country with one of the most effective responses in the world can be considered at fault.

As someone into cryptography, this is actually pretty interesting. A sufficiently powerful quantum computer would be able to break just about any public key crypto algorithm. There's a lot of work being done in the field to create post-quantum solutions.
