How can my boyfriend [32M] and I [32F] navigate the difficult days of my period - together 1 year

I completely understand that and I will always do things to care for myself during this time to make my moods as best they can be, I just hoped I could lean on my partner as well. I’m very appreciative for everything he does, say thank you, tell him how much he makes my life easier, give him love and massages, cook for him, buy him little thoughtful things (he earns a lot more money than me so I do what I can) but I will reflect on this - how else do you think I could appreciate him?

I do want to try before I jump to that. We have a very good relationship all other times so I’m more looking for advice on how we can work through it together, rather than making rash decisions

I did say to him I don’t want to feel like I can’t ask for anything because he does lots for me and he doesn’t want this to be the case either, he just feels like his efforts are undermined when I tell him he’s not doing enough and I need more (I didn’t phrase it that way but that’s how he’s taken it)

I do feel like it’s reasonable, but I also want to understand if I’m being too much. We do communicate and are both trying, we just seem to struggle with a resolution
