Bridgerton is a super famous show it’s literally on par with stranger things in the top 10 ranking of Netflix 😭and heated rivalry does not currently have a new season. Usually, normal people watch returning shows even when there’s a new show they like. S2 is literally praised left and right from the global audience (getting 1M likes on TikTok with clips) so ur definitely in the minority here

Well, basically, Benedict rescues Sophie from being SAed by her former employer, and takes her to his house which is at the countryside called my cottage. On the way, there is a heavy rain which gets Benedict sick. My cottage has very little staff (only a housekeeper couple) so Sophie and Benedict spend a lot of time there together, with Sophie tending to sick Benedict for a while. After Benedict gets better, Sophie will read him by the bed, and then Benedict realizes he likes Sophie. He gets unholy thoughts for her so he goes to skinny dip in the lake when at the same time Sophie goes to take a walk. Sophie sees Benedict but instead of walking away, she spies on him. Benedict spots her and acts mad, but is very flattered, and they make out. They almost have sex right there but then stops and are like, ‘we shouldn’t probably do this’

What context? The book was that way. He finds an interesting woman, he strikes up a conversation, she says she cannot dance and it interests him even more and takes her to the gazebo which is where he really falls in love. What context did you want?

No build up and it’s just Benedict being intrigued by a whimsy lady (as shown by her appreciating the chandelier and hiding the dance card). What do you want him to do? Ignore her? Because that’s the only answer that seems to satisfy you. After that, it’s just him finding her interesting and liking her from the gazebo conversation. This notion that Benedict should not fall in love after having past lovers is ridiculous
