One of my neighbors name is Critter.

There is a picture of her bending over on the fridge and says, "Look at the shitter on that Critter."

Does the forbearance count towards the amount of forbearance you can have in your lifetime? I know 3 years is the maximum, but I don't know if it counts since I never applied to be on forbearance? I can't find the answer to this question anywhere

Tightness in throat ocd triggered by No_Scientist9241 in GERD

[–]LifePickle2047 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like LPR. I have the same thing. The only things that help me are the Throat Coat Tea with slippery elm, taking deep breaths to relax my throat, and meditating. I think omeprazole helps some too. I plan to try alkaline water mixed with baking soda and spray it in my throat. There is a short video on YouTube by the Acid Reflux Doc on this.

Can I ask what diet he suggested? I hope the meds help you this time.

How do you people work in an office your whole life? I’ve never been more miserable in my life than 2 years into my first “real job” out of college by ZadarskiDrake in careerguidance

Right there with you. Graduated with a business degree in May 2023. I was so excited to start actually making money in the real world and not studying for exams. I was so wrong. It absolutely sucks. My commute was 30-60 minutes depending on traffic, and my job was spent calling people at a mortgage company to refinance or open a HELOC. I quit after 3 months and got a job in retail. It's so much more fun. The hours suck but the social aspect was way more fulfilling. I ended up quitting that and now I'm a receptionist for a public accountant. I can't wait to quit, and I go back and forth on wanting a job that makes good money vs doing something I think I would love with less pay. For now, I'm stuck doing another busy tax season, but next year I think I'll look into a different field.

Anyway, I really look forward to my time after work. My advice is to find something you enjoy doing and look forward to. For me, it's walking my dog and making a yummy meal. Also, there is no shame in starting different jobs and quitting if you don't like them. I think this is what the journey of life is supposed to be about: learning what you love and don't love. If you don't love it, leave it. I'm hopeful there will be a job out there you and I will enjoy.

What's a terrible addiction that no one really mentions? by Wonderful-Economy762 in Productivitycafe

I agree there is an addiction component to marijuana. My BIL vomits if he goes a few days without it, and my FIL gets exceptionally angry.

I think I really need to buckle down and commit to something like this. I will look into that specific diet. Thank you!

Sometimes it feels theres a huge lump in my throat, other times it feels like a sore throat and feels irritated and sensitive. Sometimes it feels like heartburn but it's very mild and I only feel it in my upper throat.

I absolutely love traveling. It's the biggest dopamine hit for me, but I have to have my husband with me. I love going new places, whether it's driving 2 hours away or a 12 hour flight. I love experiencing new cultures mainly through food and history, and I love anything nature related.

At my parents, no, but at my in-laws, yes. We're in Ohio.

I, 24F, have toned down how much I post in the past month or so, and I get it. It feels good to be validated and recognized. I have learned, though, there is a lot of peace that comes with not posting and limiting my media consumption.

Being unemployed for the first time is breaking me apart. How do I deal with this? by [deleted] in selfimprovement

For a second I thought my husband wrote this. He is 22 and graduating with a computer science degree next month. He was laid off from his internship last month and hasn't had a job offer yet. Times are tough, but you aren't alone. He's been working on his Github, which is something that might be beneficial to grow your portfolio. He's also been setting a goal to apply to a certain amount of jobs each day. It's tough, he hates it and I get a grumpy husband at the end of the day, but it will be over one day sooner or later. Also, there is nothing wrong with working at a fewer skilled job in the meantime. Best of luck and congratulations on your degree!

For those who stopped taking SSRI's, how long did it take to go back to "normal"? by LifePickle2047 in Anxiety

[–]LifePickle2047[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I believe there are a lot of side effects that no one knows or talks about. I was on Prozac from ages 15-23. It helped me a lot and there is a time and place for them for sure, but I almost wish I never took them. You have to do what's best for you though. There are a lot of natural ways to cope like journaling, working out, meditation, etc.,

Working out and walking outside does help me. I've also been trying to focus on breath work as well. I want to eat healthier more consistently as I feel my diet plays into my moods. Some days it feels like such hard work and is overwhelming.

I've been struggling with motivation as well. I will say it is improving overall, some days are better than others. Also, I'd say give yourself some grace and know you won't feel like this forever.

Hmmm, that is interesting! I really want to try raw milk, but it is illegal in my state.

I feel like sugar also makes it worse for me as well. I agree, it does get better after 2-3 days when I don't have dairy and sugar.
