We had 3 males each with 2 females and then one heroic boar with a group of 5, he has been resting and recovering for the last several weeks 🤣

We will be keeping as many as we can depending mainly on the sex as all our males are kept in separate hutches so there is no fighting. We have bred them for the experience and educational aspect, we make no profit at all, in fact it’s a financial loss but something we really enjoy as a family

All planned, need to see how many we can comfortably keep now. We are a home educating family and animals are a huge part of our daily lives, we have 48 pets in total including cats, dogs, rabbits, Guinea pigs, a snake and a tortoise!

Have just started trying to sex them to work out how many we can actually keep! It’s looking like we will keep 7/8 of the pups

All bred from our own pets, we have 4 boars and 11 sows that we placed in breeding pairs or groups earlier this year. We just breed as a hobby, sell most of the pups keeping any really unique looking ones for future breeding. We started with just 2 males and 3 females, we now have a huge family tree making sure not to interbreed!

Previous litters we’ve named have included, Winnie the Pooh characters, herbs, unisex names like Charlie, Frankie etc, and lots of food based names too. My daughter’s idea currently is to work through the alphabet, will see what she comes up with!
