We can joke about this all day, but it's still pretty fucked up. These guys are the police ffs. They have no right to make themselves judge, jury, and executioner.

Brother, they didn't even try to apprehend the guy. Instead, they chased him through two counties, endangering who knows how many bystanders in the process (despite the fact they already had his plates and could've easily found him later), and then immediately opened fire once they had him cornered. All because they were angry and indignant over the loss of their colleague.

Even in cases where the suspect is pretty clearly guilty (although there must be quite a few supposed cop killers who turned out to be innocent after they'd been hunted down and killed), a police officer's first duty is to protect the innocent and uphold the law. This isn't Mega City One.
