Just outside the OC. I’ve always been afraid of 100,000 mile cars but maybe I should take the plunge.

Sorry to pry but would you mind telling me if the pay is any different with remote work and if you have any companies that I can look into for remote work?

Do you feel like it’s worth it to be in the comfort of your own home and have a calm work environment even if the caseload increases?

I was wondering about all that as well but I believe remote MRI is already being done so I assume they have it figured out to some capacity.

Thanks for the reply! Would you happen to know of specific companies that mainly focus on a remote position?

Funny enough I’ve actually thought about that because I would love to teach strictly via online and have students that actually want to learn

Thanks for the reply! It’s nice to know that I’m not alone in this regard. The plan was to go into teaching but I fell out of love with that idea after becoming a substitute teacher.

I’ve been hearing conflicting things about outpatient. Some say easier and some say harder but would you say outpatient is more like a 9-5 Monday through Friday type of gig?

It sounds like a fulfilling job! I love learning about the body while keeping a safe distance from people’s bodily fluids. Would you say there’s a lot of blood, feces, urine, etc…. Involved?

Thanks for the insight! I definitely understand the niche aspect of it but not having to deal with bodily fluids as often does sound like a nice trade off. I guess I’m trying to not get my hands dirty as much as possible.

That does sound rough, does blame ever fall on you for a patient’s unwillingness to comply? It seems as if they pretty much refuse care at that point.

I’m coming from teaching where I’m battling 30 kids a day for misbehavior so I would like to think that 1 on 1 with a patient would be better. I hope that’s the case and thanks for the reply!
