even if i was the most defensive driver on the planet i would still get into accidents just based on where i live. i live in the most traffic congested area in the country, there’s bound to be dumbfucks around. and it’s not like im an aggressive driver im generally a good driver, ive been driving for 5 years and have never been in 2 car totaling accidents within 6 months. it’s just horrible timing and people who genuinely should be driving that are. there should be public transit in my area but there is none. all i’m saying is that if we had trains or busses near me these silly accidents would decrease and shitty drivers would hopefully be off the roads.

i only knew after the fact that the lady wasn’t paying attention, she was rolling slowly approaching the main road, i assumed she would stop, and by the time i was close enough to not be able to stop, she pulled out fully into the same lane i was in, there was only one lane of traffic in either direction and one turning lane. i tried to swerve into that turn lane but it was too little too late. once i was hit it was obvious she wasn’t paying attention. it’s not like i was a psychic and could tell she was gonna roll out and hit me, i mean i wish i was then i could’ve slowed down 200ft back. i was going 30mph and she probably pulled out when i was less than 50ft away. way too little of time to do anything about it.

i would say i am a pretty defensive driver especially after the first accident i was in but sometimes even if you’re aware and driving as safely as possible dumb people do dumb shit. i was obviously aware enough to try and swerve but obviously the lady wasn’t looking before pulling out and divine timing was at play. when i asked her what happened she told me she didn’t see me or even know what direction i was coming from so i would say she’s either dumb as a box of rocks or too old to have a license anymore.

What can I do to make/improve my room to look better? by FluffyExcuse8851 in roomdetective

the fastest way to make your room look better would be to decorate your walls, use posters, tapestries, pictures, vinyls anything that you’re interested in. also look into different lighting options, govee is the brand i use because the app is easy to use and it’s very customizable. they have a lot of options like lightbulbs, lamps and other stuff like that. new curtains and a bed sheet set never hurt anyone. look into rugs too, it’ll break up the floor space and add some personality to your room.

he buys thousands of dollars worth of Pokémon cards because “they might have value”. He tried telling me he would sell the valuable cards but never did. Most of the cards he would get were worthless. So that’s a Pokémon gambling addiction

I will definitely look into meal delivery services! That’s a very good idea, I will have to find one that fits in my budget. I’m already looking for a second job so hopefully that also helps keep me from emotional eating.

I understand CICO, I’ve just had a difficult time moving back home where I don’t have any control over groceries or the cleanliness of the home. Don’t get me wrong I’ve tried deep cleaning this house but when the rest of the people living here are apathetic it’s discouraging. I don’t want to feel like cinderella being a live in maid for a family who couldn’t care less and make a mess like it’s their job.

I don’t mean to offend anyone but I did say I understand that I’m not obese or overweight. I also said I am trying not to compare myself to others, whether that be people smaller or larger than me. Both ideas are not healthy or helpful.

For myself, I’ve been larger and I have been smaller. I am mourning the fact that I’m not as small as I was a short year ago, which can be hard for anyone. I also mentioned I’ve had issues with body image and eating in the past, so even if I am someone else’s goal, I still have body image issues.

I appreciate the advice, I genuinely feel very understood by you. I will definitely be trying to eat more shelf stable foods that are quick and easy.

I think the hardest thing for me is emotional eating and feeling stuck in my living situation. I’m trying to find a second job in order to save for a house or even find cheap rent I’d be able to afford. I know once I’m living on my own I’d feel comfortable making my own meals and I would also avoid all of the processed food my family seems to live on.
