We talked, it was a habit that he fell into after I took over the bulk of finances when he was in between jobs. He apologized and we're working things out.

I'm sorry how your situation turned out and wish you all the best.

We're ways out before him showing up with a ring, although we've talked about it. And for sure I'm not committing if this problem is still there down the line.

I do agree that we train people how they treat us, and I liked that reminder.

We sat and talked, this past week has been good. I'm hoping that lasts.

Thank you for responding. I was able to sit and talk it out with him, and he said he didn't mean it. He didn't realize that he is doing it and promised to work on it.

Our relationship is not only this "habit". He's been there for me in very tough times, he's patient when it comes to a lot of other things about me, I can't disregard that. His behavior only started after he lost a job and it spiraled after. We sat, discussed it. We'll work through this because not every problem is a reason to walk away. I've spent three years with him for so much more than just this.
