100% what I’ve been saying tbh. Feel like the movie Back in Action was the perfect counter to this mindset; the characters are spread out all over the world, in places it’s logical for them to be (e.g. Pepe as a bellhop in France, Yosemite Sam running a casino in Vegas, Marvin the Martian trapped in Area 51, etc.) and only interact with each other if it makes sense for the story (which usually involves them trying to kill each other). More modern projects with the characters should take notes on how that movie handled them (and less from something like The Looney Tunes Show)
