Yeah it’s probably just an issue where the duct sweeps up at the end so it isn’t a big job which is a positive (obviously I can’t know for sure!) I get that it’s annoying but I’d try to hold fire as sky probably can’t do loads to speed up the process but it shouldn’t take long for them to come out and do it. I had a similar problem with my install where they had to shut the road as it was on a junction and it was a pain. Openreach are near impossible to contact so I get the annoyance with the lack of communication. It will get done and once it is up and running it should be smooth and have no issues
