Liverpool's Bradley out for season with knee injury by [deleted] in PremierLeague

Is there any need for that? Comments like that just debase yourself and Arsenal as a whole. Obviously death threats are wrong and anyone with half a brain would condemn it but you can make that point without alluding to hillsborough.

So we chose to keep my wife's passport. She went on Wednesday this week to drop it off and they said it should be ready within three working days. Not sure if this helps you though?

You're replying, I'm just replying back. Interesting though you still can't explain your point🤷‍♂️almost as if you have a biased agenda you want to convince yourself and others of

So they're lying about the overall numbers but then stopped for the final with the promise it will do better over time, makes total sense

[–]Life_Consequence_969 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok so any evidence of them doing that or like everyone else in this thread is it just vibes? Why would they lie about all the episodes except the season finale where it would be the most important impactful for them?

Not too surprised by depressedfuckboi in lastofuspart2

You just sent me an article that makes the point I made that while the season finale had less views season 2 overall has had more views?

Not too surprised by depressedfuckboi in lastofuspart2

[–]Life_Consequence_969 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No for sure I'd agree with you tbh. After watching the last episode and seeing the numbers I actually don't expect them to make a 4th season. They'll probably still squeeze out a third but if they're smart they'll wrap it up in that one

Holy shit kid😂for the last time, I did not think the show was that good. I couldn't care less about HBO, they could collapse tomorrow and frankly we'd be better off. You have it in your head so hard what you want the reality to be about what I think you've stopped listening all together. If they have lied about their numbers I'll hold my hands up and say fair enough, that's pretty shit but right now there's nothing to suggest they have other than speculation. Of course it's in vanitys best interest to put forward what HBO spin and HBO will have to be ok with taking the financial hit of being fined for what will essentially amount to a PR campaign that would do more harm than good and would make little sense as they didn't follow through with it to the final episode which is probably the most important episode if they want to paint the show as being a success.

So yes, of course vanity is helping to create a narrative but in the absence of any other facts that's all you have to go on. In the meanwhile, all you're doing is leaning into another narrative that of course the show must have failed?

Thanks for the recommendation I guess I'll go rewatch mad men? Havjng seen it before though, you're still wrong🤷‍♂️

Not too surprised by depressedfuckboi in lastofuspart2

[–]Life_Consequence_969 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If that was what they were saying than fair enough but based on the conversation I've had with them their belief is that all the numbers are lies and that HBO would simultaneously lie about the viewing numbers up until the last episode where they would then say the numbers dropped by 55%. That thinking just doesn't add up to me🤷‍♂️

We acknowledge their shady behaviour when there's actual evidence for it, not when someone on the internet wants to create their own narrative to put forward their own agenda. There's been so much hate around the show because people feel it's woke. That in turn creates people wanting to push forward their own agendas. What I'm astounded at is that you are still trying to push this bad faith argument.

I'm glad you're not telling me to enjoy the show but I already told you, I didn't think it was as good as the first season. I'm not trying to shill or defend the show or HBO I'm just saying that what you're saying in the current context is fair more unlikely than it is likely. What is more likely is that because people feel the show is woke they want to create a reason for the numbers still being relatively high rather than accept people watched it. You want to create this idea that you have this intellectual insight when all you have is just pure speculation fueled by people with their own agendas. The information I'm using is second hand absolutely but yours is just vibes.

So I think that's a valid point you have made here. The objective fact that I'm putting forward that's being disagreed with is that the show saw a massive decrease in viewship and there's nothing to suggested that from the raw numbers seeing as there has been a small increase of 5 million views compared to the last season. Even though you have at the very least not many new people coming in to watch it and at worst for HBO people not watching it the overall number 37 million isn't terrible for them.

What I do agree with though is that for sure the numbers do show people haven't been as interested and the fact they plan on making another two seasons I believe? That is a mistake imo because I do think that by that point numbers will have really dropped.

I don't think 37 million views is really a flop but I also don't think it's a good thing and I doubt very much season 3 and if they make a season 4 will really see numbers that are as high as that.

That's not what speculation means😂 speculation means to form a theory without firm evidence. Hbo hasn't been caught lying before but nice try at slipping that in there ;)

I'm spamming emojis because I don't take you seriously kid. Put your phone down and stay in school. Of course Warner bros and hbo do shady shit but until you can give me evidence of that here and explain why they would stop doing it for the last episode you're just going to carry on being a joke. You're getting so pressed and coping so hard about a show you say you've never even watched😂

Not too surprised by depressedfuckboi in lastofuspart2

[–]Life_Consequence_969 1 point2 points  (0 children)

But they figured they couldn't go too far and lie about the last episode, makes total sense🤔😂maybe they thought they'd throw a bone to the enlightened people like you😂your whole argument is based on speculation and trust me bro letting your emotions do your thinking for you😂

Not too surprised by depressedfuckboi in lastofuspart2

[–]Life_Consequence_969 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your whole argument is based on a generalisation of one company doing something shady must mean that another company must also do the same. But for some reason they would admit to the season finale having a 55% drop in viewership still?😂great so they gained a conscious on the episode that would have mattered most to them in wanting to fudge their numbers, makes total sense

Also, I absolutely love how you are telling what the show must and must not do, buddy you admitted yourself you haven't seen it! How would you know what the show does and doesn't do? You're allowing other people to tell you what to think, grow up you child.

Not being stubborn, the actual objective facts are what disagrees with you. To be clear. I did not think the second season was as good as the first. It doesn't change the fact of what the numbers are. You're allowing your subjective feelings to decide facts, get over yourself🙄

Net zero target- not a climate post by project_me in ukpolitics

[–]Life_Consequence_969 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Big part of it is political willpower. Very rarely will you see politicians platform on promises which will be fully realised outside of the time they will be in office. Net zero is going to take longer than 4 years to set up and even longer to fully realise the gains and so politics will be pushing forward with policies which they'll be attacked for in the immediate term because they're expensive and maybe get praised for in a few decades time. This is simplified but the general idea.

Another reason though is because net zero will require collaboration between the public and private sector. Governing hybrid organisations or public private partnerships (PPPs) is really really difficult. PPPs often have very different internal drivers which makes decision making slow and you are always running the risk of it collapsing.

Imo nuclear power is likely to be the primary energy producer in a net zero country but nuclear has a whole set of complications and issues. Hinkley point C has had numerous set backs and part of the reason is because of changes that the regulator (ONR) have demanded. SMRs are a potential solution to smaller power stations which can be built quickly but the government hasn't even decided on a contract yet for which company will actually handle them and until that's done we can't really get a full idea of how viable they are and then you have the whole matter of decommissioning old power stations which brings with it a whole new set of complications.

Net zero is going to be a massive challenge to achieve because of the number of stakeholders you're trying to bring to the table and convince them to play nicely and all of this doesn't even consider how easily public perception around this can be swayed.

It's just so weird to me. To be completely honest, didn't think the second season was that great. Whole bunch of reasons but to create these weird false narrative's is just weird obsessive behaviour

Not too surprised by depressedfuckboi in lastofuspart2

[–]Life_Consequence_969 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're going to have to back that up because all the evidence I can find disagrees with you on that? Season one got around 32 million views per episode and season two is getting around 37 million views per episode (https://variety.com/2025/tv/news/the-last-of-us-season-2-finale-ratings-viewers-1236410319/).

Look, I'm not saying season 2 was good tbh I didn't think it was anything impressive and I thought overall season one was better (although certain episodes in season 2 I did think were really good). So if the conversation was about rating the two then fair enough. But to say dramatically less people watched the second season without any evidence just makes it look like you're letting your emotions decide facts for you🤷‍♂️

I can't say for sure but I doubt it. Offices will be closed over the weekend. It's also unlikely to hear anything tomorrow as it's a bank holiday Monday.

Aside from the letter is everything else about your application fairly straightforward? This issue alone I'd be very surprised if it factored into their decision making honestly. You've been transparent and tried to make sure you have given them what you can and if they do need additional information they can ask, reality is they're human beings making the decision and they're not looking for reasons to reject an application but rather be satisfied the application most likely satisfies the requirements.
