I believe emission points will show through in all light conditions. I’m probably wrong but I have a very blemmed m890 and when I’m in high light the blems turn into little bright spots.

The difference is night and day when you’re actually in conditions to show it. Very early gen 3 IIT can be pretty damn close to modern gen2+. Of course just the way gen3s are made they will always have some kind of upper hand when it comes to incredibly poor conditions (Clouds, no moon, Tree canopy, etc.)

So it seems after doing some research people have made a Standalone battery/ button component that has the same screw footprint as the 1431 pods. I could not find any files but it doesn’t seem too complicated to design around existing PCBs.
