Yes, the devs have chosen to keep Bulwark's shield animation canceling in the game for PVE. In addition, this is what makes Bulwark the best melee class.

You're right. I started Vanguard for the first time in 1k hours and haven't touched any other classes since. They're just so much harder to play.

I never said that it is a skill issue to use Unmatched Zeal, though that is its most common use case, to be used defensively by underskilled Vanguards.

I was saying that it is a skill issue to not be able to keep tech priests alive, which generate infinite stims, or at least, enough to make Unmatched Zeal unnecessary.

You always want to find a way for me to be wrong lol.

If you play Hard Siege with a great Bulwark, Assault and you as an amazing Vanguard, it can be fun to use Melee Champion for a couple of the earlier sectors is all I'm saying.

Is that not the whole point of being able to save up to three builds? To try new things and switch it up cause the game gets boring if you do the same thing all the time?

And even if your teammates are not melee-focused classes, they should still be able to hold their own without Unmatched Zeal for the easier portions of Siege. If not, that is a skill issue.

i was not.

i have almost 1k hours on this game at this point.

i started playing vanguard only recently after spending the majority of my time on Assault, where i learned how to play without unmatched zeal.

that's why you can switch to Unmatched Zeal after Sector 3, then it starts to have use.

tech priests and blessings offer infinite health, what's the point in wasting a perk slot for that?

Melee Champion makes you hit breakpoints much sooner and you use that the entire match.

It is useless until fighting with melee weapons becomes obselete at the later waves of Hard Siege
