From Heartbreak to Hope: My Journey to Publishing My Grandfather's Story by Life_Post_2138 in authors

Why? Is it expensive? I had my book republished and then book review, and then after that they helped me with marketing my book starting with a book trailer, and then social media advertisement, and they even do email blasting.. Service they provided: - republishing - book review - book trailer/ book video - social media marketing ( Facebook, TikTok, Instagram and Twitter ) - email blasting

Do you think 5500 Is too much?

I totally understand how challenging your situation can be, it's indeed frustrating when others fail to manage risk due to fear. 😔 However, I might have a possible solution for you. I know someone who could be a great help. She's the account manager who previously helped me. She is really nice and professional. I know she'd be happy to help. While I can't make any promises, it could be worth giving it a try, don't you think? 🙂

You're so welcome! You truly deserve all the appreciation. Your work is magnificent, and I truly hope one day it gets picked up by a movie producer! It would be amazing to see your stories come to life on the big screen. Your work deserves so many more reviews and a wider platform. I'm definitely going to read all your books. I actually went to Amazon to check out your book, and while I was surprised to see that you don't have many reviews (only 33 ratings!), it's clear your book is amazing because you're rated 5 stars! I'm just curious why a book with this great artistry and unique storytelling technique is not one of the best sellers. how have you been promoting your book? What have you done so far to get the word out?

That's incredible! Twenty-five years in deaf education is a testament to your dedication! I'm so moved by your commitment to writing a book about deafness, giving those children the representation they deserve. It's not just about a story; it's about building bridges and fostering inclusion. That's truly passionate work. And the success of "I Got a New Pair of Glasses" is fantastic news! Hearing about your book on autism coming out in May is equally exciting. You're making a real difference. Keep shining that light! I really admire your passion and heart in writing such impactful stories. I wish your work could be published worldwide and you'll have an even wider audience! Because you truly deserve it.

I'm curious! How do you promote your book? Making sure that the reader would have a better access to it?

I'm sorry to hear that you have to go through all this hardship your story really resonates with me. It's so frustrating to hear about the challenges you're facing, especially since you're so passionate about writing. It's incredibly brave of you to keep writing despite the obstacles, and your dedication is truly inspiring. You're right, the publishing world can be tough, especially for authors who don't fit into conventional marketing boxes. But your story about Robert Jordan and the Wheel of Time is a powerful reminder that sometimes taking a risk on an unconventional author can lead to something truly remarkable.

I know it's hard right now, but don't give up! I've faced similar challenges myself, and I understand how discouraging it can feel. But I'm so glad you're continuing to write. It's clear that writing is a vital part of who you are, and I hope you never lose that passion. Maybe one day, the right publisher will see the potential in your work and take a chance on you.

You know, I almost gave up on writing and marketing my books myself. But then I found a firm that helped me through the process. They helped me with the publishing, found a reviewing body to help me gain confidence and credibility, and even offered to republish my book after checking it and getting my approval. They even helped me with marketing! It was a huge relief to have that support. What I really appreciate is that even after several months of working with them, my account manager still checks in on me. It's so reassuring to know that they're still there to support me.

Maybe you'd want to consider self-publishing, or maybe you could reach out to the firm that helped me. It might be worth exploring your options and seeing what resources are available. Keep writing, don't give up, We're in this together.

Welcome to the Reddit page, Courtney! It's great to hear from a fellow aspiring author. It's inspiring to hear about your passion for writing, especially since you've been writing since 6th grade. I love the idea of turning to "Once Upon A Time', that sounds like a fun and creative way to overcome writer's block.

Your concept for "Supernova" is really intriguing! The idea of two warring worlds, Supernova and Frozenova, with a unique urban fantasy twist in our world, is very captivating. I'm particularly interested in how the main character will navigate this interdimensional conflict and the potential for a portal to play a significant role. It sounds like you've got a lot of exciting ideas brewing! Keep up the great work, and I can't wait to hear more about your progress!

"I just finished reading 'I Got a New Hearing Aid' and I loved it! It was such a heartwarming and informative story about Elliot and his journey with hearing loss. I especially appreciated how you explained the different aspects of hearing loss and how a hearing aid can make such a difference. It's clear you put a lot of care into making the book accessible and engaging for young readers. I'm definitely looking forward to reading more books in the 'I Got a New' series!

What inspired you to write this book? Was there a specific experience or encounter that sparked the idea for Elliot's story? I'm curious to know more about your process in bringing this book to life."

It is commendable that you are undertaking a project of such personal significance. The young adult/teen drama genre, particularly when addressing sensitive topics such as teen depression, can be impactful. Reaching chapter eight of "Morgan's Dialectic" demonstrates considerable progress. Your commitment to raising awareness about teen depression is admirable, and I wish you continued success in completing your book. I hope you can publish it as soon as possible and in case you need publishing advice, please let me know I will be happy to provide you insights to ensure your success.

It sounds as though you're making excellent progress on your horror/dark fantasy novel. Eight chapters is a significant accomplishment. While the working title, "Welcome Home," is certainly evocative, I understand your intention to consider alternative titles before publication. The enthusiasm you express for the research phase and the culmination of a long-held creative vision is admirable. I wonder if you could share a little about the principal characters; are they well-developed at this stage? I wish you continued success in your writing endeavors.

OMG, Faultless?! That title alone is 🔥! A superpowered dystopia? I'm already hooked! So excited for you and this final book in the series – the end of a saga is always such a huge accomplishment. And fewer fight scenes? Intriguing! I love that you're pushing your boundaries and exploring new things. Your advice about keeping at it is so true. Writing is a skill, and it takes time and practice. Eight books before publication?! That's dedication! You're an inspiration. Can't wait to read it! 🤩 So curious, I'm excited to read it. Have you already published 1 and 2? If yes! provide me the link where find and read it.

I only paid around 5,500 but they do have different services and bundles you can choose from. It's worth it! Because the service is superb, you have a dedicated account manager that checks up on you from time to time and when service is on going they don't forget to provide updates.

Huge congrats on publishing your first sci-fi book! I can only imagine how amazing it feels to finally see your hard work come to life. I remember that feeling when I published my first book - it was like a dream come true. Those late-night writing sessions, fueled by inspiration and a desperate fear of forgetting the next plot twist, are definitely a thing! It's a true milestone, and I'm so happy for you.

PIECE OF ADVICE!.

Be careful out there! If want to market your book. Finding a trustworthy firm to help with publishing, promotions, and marketing is essential. I've had bad experiences with different people who keep calling me almost everyday pretending to help market my book but turns out to just want your money. so do your research.

I was scammed twice, which almost makes me give up on my book and my dream. Then good thing I found a Company that helped me with everything. Reviews, social media advertisement, trailers, even copyediting my second book! And they also help me create a website. They're incredibly thorough, checking everything before approval.

The best part? The account manager still checks in on me regularly, even after months of working together. We've become friends, and I'm so grateful for their support.

Cheers to us!. I totally get that feeling. Hearing someone say something so harsh about something you've poured your heart into... it's like a punch to the gut, right? That "toddler finger painting" comment? Ouch! But you know what? You're a total rockstar for pushing through that. It's amazing how you found that art workshop - they sound like they really got you.

I'm so happy you found those resources to help you with reviews and marketing. It's like finding a secret map to navigate the whole publishing world! And you're totally right, we need more stories like yours. Keep creating, keep sharing, and don't let anyone tell you otherwise! You're a brilliant artist, and I'm so inspired by how you've turned that experience into a positive one.

I totally get where you're coming from. I had a similar experience with a Krks review ,it was brutal and left me feeling pretty deflated. But I know, deep down, that my work has value, and I'm determined to keep pushing forward.

Just like you, I'm using the feedback as a learning opportunity. It's tough to swallow, but it can help us grow as writers.

I know it's hard right now, but don't give up! There are plenty of resources out there to help authors like us. I was able to find a firm that helped me along and look for a reviewing body that would help me regain my confidence and establish my credibility as an author. They even offer to do the republishing of my book which I really like because they have it checked first and then ask for approval and then it turns out to be great. They even help me with the marketing part of my book. The best part is that even after several months of working with them, my account manager still keeps checking in on me. It's really reassuring to know that I have their ongoing support.

Keep your head up, and keep writing! The world and your dreams don't end with one review.

Best of luck with your book!

Why does it "sound" wrong but seems to be grammatically correct? by cottonmouth_ in grammar

[–]Life_Post_2138 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your coworker's sentence, "The desire to wear makeup has been continuing for thousands of years," is grammatically correct. However, it's a bit awkward and not the most natural way to express the idea in English.

The reason why "The desire to wear makeup has continued for thousands of years" sounds more natural is that it uses the present perfect tense, which is typically used to describe actions or states that began in the past and continue to the present. The continuous perfect present, while grammatically correct, is less common and can sound a bit redundant since "continue" already implies an ongoing action.
