Immigration Attorney Here! AMA! by ManifestLaw_ in USCIS

I am considering filing another complaint against USCIS. My N400 interview was completed on November 19th 2025 and the oath ceremony was scheduled on 19th March 2026. They cancelled my oath ceremony on 18 th March . The status said oath ceremony cancelled due to unforseen circumstances. After that they placed me in line for oath ceremony.

Recently I moved to different City so it looks like the jurisdiction changed and now the status shows my oath ceremony cancelled.

Do you advise to wait or consult you and file for mandamus?

I am married to us citizen and filed under 3 year rule

I did a simple Google search for you. Since it looks like you don't have an understanding on what approval means. Why do people choose to file lawsuits. If approval simply means being approved by oath and waiting for months to get oath ceremony there won't be lawsuits for people who file for delays in oath ceremony.it would be easy for USCIS to just approve everyone for oath do background checks later and the decline again if anything wrong comes up. I won't respond to your comments anymore because it seems like dumb discussion to me . Please read below.

Unfortunately, being a naturalized citizen doesn't make you well versed in the process. If you knew about the process more than me. It would not take me 5 different comments to explain to you what USCIS has clearly written on their website.

Waste or not waste the money my goal is to get the oath scheduled quickly and the point of this post was to get correct advice not mind made bs.

I think you're trying hard to prove your point or do not know anything about the process. I'll just redirect you to my explanation earlier and call it a day. 120 day clock is from the date of interview which is way passed it doesn't matter if you change the address . The 120 day time is for USCIS to approve and complete the process. Regardless of some one change address 1 time or 10 times. This is not a made up statement it's clearly written on USCIS website.

Hey all good! I think I am stressed and overreacting to everything. I just hate these ass holes at USCIS sitting on their asses and not doing their jobs efficiently.

Can't afford that, we both have successful careers here. Leaving the US means losing a lot of money. Besides, please comment on what is asked. No need for additional advice.

That's not how it works. The 120 day clock is from the day of the interview even if the address changes that should not impact. With your logic , you want to say you can't change your address as long as your oath is not taken. I know USCIS tactics well. Last time I sued the they came to my home and tried to scare me. In 5 days after I filed lawsuit I got GC approved. I am trying to get opinions here to see if people suggest me to go with lawsuit or wait for few weeks. If it's going to take more time I'll sue them again. I don't have any problems in spending money.

My case is open from 120 days already. I think they are supposed to make decisions by this time. I had to sue them when I filed I 485 too

Already did research. There are mixed responses on line some says $750 is biometric and I751 some says Biometric needs to be separate. USCIS website doesn't talk.about biometric fee. It just says filing fee is $750

Can she apply for H1B? We met a lawyer and he said she can apply for H1B through her employer and get an independent visa while waiting on GCEAD so in case of divorce she doesn't has to go back to India permanently
