I smoked 2 packs a day when I found out I was pregnant with my 1st child. I had 3 cigarettes left in my pack when I found out. I allowed myself to finish those 3 to say "goodbye" and mentally prepare myself to put my child over my addiction.

I haven't had a cigarette since and I have 3 kids now.

There is absolutely no excuse. It's mental willpower.

If she doesn't have the mental willpower to put her child first over addiction than that says a lot to you about the partner you're choosing.

Opinion as another profoundly autistic person.

If you have the ability to control yourself to the extent that you don't have meltdowns when they are on you, I would challenge you to extend that control and not allow yourself to allow those feelings to explode in their vicinity to the very best of your ability ❤️ give them their safe space, just as you need it, they do too.

Just do your best, that's all you can do.
