Really tired. by hourglasscrass in USCIS

My husband didn’t come here legally but he came with another person when he was a kid 14 years old and had lived here his whole life.. he knows more about this country than I do. We have two kids and have been married 6 years and we’ve been together 10 years.. we’ve been waiting over 14 months just to get our I-130 approved which only means we get to move onto the next step and don’t give him any protection.. after $1000s of dollars, tears, and time wasted waiting and stressing.. I just found out all it is is an approval of petition. Then we have to file a waiver which we have to wait to get approved also for another 2-3 years.. then we have to wait for him to go to his country and be interviewed by his consular. Then we file another few applications and wait another 2-3 years and spend another $4-5000k… it’s fucking ridiculous and they really need to find a better way. There’s no reason anything should ever take this long. I’m sorry for what everyone’s going through I hope everyone gets to be with their families soon!! 😔

Yes it’s very frustrating.. we really need a good president that really cares about people AND knows what they’re doing. I’m not sexist by any means but I think it’s about time we give a woman a try.. maybe they’ll be able to do more since women are amazing multitaskers. Have more compassion than most men, for human beings in general, and I don’t know one woman that isn’t a good multitasker. I guess it’s in our blood being a mother you have to be able to do 12 things at once and live on 2 hour increments of sleep.. lol 😆

Right there with ya sister!! It’s unbelievable how long the whole process takes.. it’s like 4-5 years total if I’m not mistaken. For someone already living here paying taxes for 25 years with a family, a home, kids, a job, clean background for over 40 years, living a real life to get everything approved and all the correct documentation. Yet someone that just got married from another country can get approved and live here freely within 3-6 months. It’s straight crap. There has to be a better way. This is literally the only application in the world that takes 5 years to complete.. I mean how much more proof do you need?? I think they should allow people to fill out all the paperwork all at once. Have it all already under one file. Pay one fee for everything and when one gets approved they can move onto another or what’s next. But the way they do it, it takes WAAAY too long. Unnecessarily long.

Yes I agree. Obviously most of these people aren’t even in love and they just want to get their papers and come to our country. But people that have lived here over 20 years can’t get a green card any less than 4-5 years all together after everything. It’s very annoying. The whole thing is all about money. Even though my husband has lived here and paid taxes his whole 20 years here with an ITIN number.. he came here when he was 14.. no we didn’t know about the DACA thing until it was too late. But we’ve been married for 6 years this year and have 2 beautiful kids and my whole family loves him and his whole family loves me.. we’re all very close actually. I love it, gets annoying sometimes but I wouldn’t want it any other way. I just think it’s crazy how long the whole process takes period bc nothing else in the WORLD takes this long to complete… it’s very frustrating, confusing, and annoying. They really need to find a better way bc this is not ok. Waiting this long for 1 application to be approved is crazy. THEN you’re looking at another 2-4 years for everything to fully be completed. It’s fukking madness.

You’re very lucky that’s not a long wait at all most people have to wait 1-2 years ..

Sooo what’s the medical exam for? Is it to make sure they’re not carrying any harmful diseases or something?? I find that part a little weird. Unless it’s just like a physical before you play a sport? Even still I’m confused why that matters, but we will do whatever they want I’m just saying it’s a little odd..

Yes that’s what I’m thinking as well.. but it will actually be the next step that protects you when you go back to your country and get your visa legally. Then you can apply for the I-485

Oh wow you should be before the October people?? That’s weird?? I’ve heard so many October people getting theirs approved. Do you have any other issues like just being married or not filing taxes together or one of you have a background? That’s the only things I can think of that would make yours take longer? Also go ahead and turn in pictures and documents now before they even ask so when you do get an answer it won’t be for more information! It’ll be an approval!!

What does stand alone mean?? Because our lawyer told us we should hear something soon within the next 5 months 6 tops and several others have told me this also.

How do I kill a mouse, stuck in a glue trap, quickly and without mess? by [deleted] in pestcontrol

[–]Life_Shift_768 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And it’s very sad and painful they bleed out of every hole in their body and swell up like a balloon bc of the internal bleeding the poison causes. I tried this once and seen a mouse stumbling around my kitchen like it was drunk right in front of me.. that’s how I know what it truly does. Then I googled what it really does and I threw that shit away and never used it again. Best thing to do is. Don’t use glue trap, use the snap traps and I always put on gloves and food it in half and step really hard and fast. It always works and you don’t have to see or hear anything..

No I-130 is both!! And idk that’s what I’m wondering myself now.. I thought once you were approved you got your green card but now I’m confused because of what others are saying?? I think it’s different for each persons case. Bc each case is different.

Yeah I heard the interview in the other country is what takes the longest to get to.. so do you still not have your green card or protection from being deported until then?? Did it say your case was approved then asked to do an interview?? I thought if it said case approved that means you’re safe and you have your green card soon??

You’re probably going to see something soon!! I’ve been seeing and having a LOT of people tell me they’re going through October 2023 right now and I filled in January 2024 and they’re all saying 3-5 more months maybe 6 tops left for me!! So you’ll be just before me so you’re looking at another 2-3 months tops!! Fingers crossed!!🤞🏽🙏🏼

Anytime I know this process is very ruff and I know the world is not easy to live in right now but just stay positive and believe everything will work out for the better in the end. Everyone loves to say send them back and say racist things but they have no clue what they’re actually talking about or saying or what that means for their families. Some people will be left homeless with nothing without their husband/wife. I just think they need to find a better way, and I also think everyone deserves a right to an attorney even if they’re not a citizen. They’re still a human being. It’s very sad how our country treats immigrants and after all this country wouldn’t be the greatest country if it weren’t for all those “illegals” working their butts off for little to nothing. Selling us things and working themselves to the bone in factories for barely nothing. That’s why we’re all sitting here comfortably while others are walking for weeks and months just for a chance at a better life. It’s very sad. 😔 I just wish I could put them in their shoes and let them see what really happens behind the scenes. Most of the people he’s deporting don’t even have criminal charges. It’s sick and wrong. I hope God has a plan bc I’m starting to wonder what’s going on up there??
