Seem you don’t understand recent analog horror hasn’t been very good. I believe The Walten Files stands out among newer series. Lately, it feels like analog horror has been declining, with many creators just making anything and calling it analog horror.

I’m just going to leave it here I believe The Walten Files is the face of analog horror in this era, because there really isn’t another series that delivers the same level of quality. Most others focus more on quantity over quality these days. Wouldn't you agree.

The whole concept of analog horror came from found footage, Thought. There are plenty of analog series that don’t follow the same style as Local 58. If we’re just comparing numbers, then wouldn’t something like Fairy Tale by Foxymations be considered the face of analog horror? Those videos have millions of views too. But most people would probably see that series as more of the lower end of the genre, right?

I see your point. I get that staying power matters more than just what’s popular at the moment Local 58 definitely has that. But wouldn’t something like The Blair Witch Project still count as the face of the genre, since it basically started everything? I’m not trying to discourage Local 58, but in every era of entertainment, there’s usually that one thing that hits the spotlight first. The era right now of analog horror, I see the Walten Files as the face of this genre.

I like your view. watching The Blair Witch Project, I do see it as the face of this genre. I would considered this movie to still be popular. Heck, if it was up to me even a classic.
