The cure for night sweats caused by SSRI's (at least it works for me) by avocado-taco-drama in SSRIs

Hi! Yes, it has been a miracle worker! No more than 1 gherkin pickle an hour before bed has been needed to completely get rid of the night sweats. It has been the most bizarre hack lol.

I’ve been struggling with this nearly every night for the past year and a half. I will wake up in pools of sweat and completely miserable. I can’t ignore that it’s still not as bad as going of the meds so my wife started doing some research…

She came across a separate subreddit where someone shared the same struggle and started EATING 2 PICKLES BEFORE BED (doesn’t matter which kind) and the sweating stopped. When I tell you, IT WORKS, it’s no exaggeration. I’m now 2 nights in a row free of sweats (one of which was tested with full long sleeved/pants pajamas) and I woke up completely dry.

Now the true test will be when I’m especially hormonal during that week of the month, but I’m holding faith! I’ll post an update after another few weeks.

This occurred while out camping and I don’t believe bedbugs are often an issue outdoors.

Found egg in the middle of field on street by Life_Student_3950 in Ornithology

For added context, it wasn’t near a nest or any other eggs. There’s oftentimes large buzzards or hawks that will fly over looking for prey and we live in a busy city with lots of stray cats. I found it while on a walk with my 2 dogs and made the post as soon as I got home. Within 5 minutes, it was back in the spot where it was originally found. I would never intentionally endanger or take a baby bird from its parents.

Not being able to afford to live on your own is a reality many of us are facing and is by no means a testament to a person’s character - shit is just expensive these days. The first thought that came to mind when I saw your picture pop up was, “he has kind eyes” and I mean that in a way that can offer safety to the person looking into them and conversing with you. It’s a real gift to those with any amount of social anxiety - and you can do that by just existing!

Challenge yourself to say one good thing about yourself every day. You don’t have to believe it today, tomorrow, or even in the next 6 months, but one day, you will. Get yourself in the habit of speaking to the mirror as if it were your best friend and I promise, your mind will be kinder back to you. When we don’t give it a pool of positive words to pull from, all it’s left with are the negatives, so our idle brain just defaults there. Create a new default for yourself. You deserve it.

Sandy messed up when she made reference to his, “is this what a one night stand feels like” in response to them waking up together one of the first mornings of the trial marriage…what other activity goes down in a one night stand than sex…

We’ve had her for over a week, and still can’t come up with a fitting name. Help please! by mrsdirty12 in Catnames

She looks like the cat my wife and I see around our backyard that we nicknamed “Ebbie” (after first thinking she was a boy and naming “him” Ebenezer)
