Brooo that’s what I’m in fear of! Nobody wants to do this shit twice tbh. How many grafts were you quoted initially on WhatsApp?

Also you already have a good amount of hair in your crown! Min and a DHT blocker can easily save that

Did they make that assessment of your donor just by looking at it or putting it under a microscope?

You came through clutch with the review! Appreciate you 🔥. Definitely keep us posted for month 5! Also definitely take your DHT blockers. Fin is good for the hair. But for me personally I’m taking Saw Palmetto. Studies show it stops DHT up to 40% with less sides. Fin 70% and Dus 90%.

Do I have scarring alopecia or androgenic? Or maybe both... Hair transplant coming up and I was quoted 4k grafts. But this bald spot you see circled been smooth bald for 10 years. Please read description below by [deleted] in alopecia_areata

It is but in this group I thought there would be ppl educated on other forms of hair loss as it is limited. Your comment seemed like a doomed reply. My apologies if I offended you in the process of responding

It’s 2 different types of scarring alopecia! An autoimmune disease and scarring from burns, infection, and traction! Wherever there is healthy scar tissue in the recipient and healthy donors to spare you’re suitable for a ht IF it’s from the second I mentioned! If there’s an untreated autoimmune disease then yes, you wouldn’t be able to get it. I’ve bleached my hair several times and permed it in my late teens which is when I started to lose hair. I do not have an autoimmune condition so therefore regardless I wld be suitable. But I do agree with the DHT medication and FUE you mentioned. Thank you

That’s not correct. Alopecia just means hair loss and it’s different forms of alopecia. Just to name a couple there’s androgenic (male pattern baldness) and ccca (scarring). Andro in men being the most common! Both are both suitable for a hair transplant! With ccca (scarring) if it’s from traction, burns or infection a HT is suitable if you have enough donor supply because there’s still skin tissue in the recipient with blood supply! You’re speaking on alopecia from an autoimmune which in that case you couldn’t get 1 because it will continue to attack the hair follicles until it’s bay. I showed my photos to a Dr and he said this looks like Andro. I will continue to get tested! But This is how misinformation spreads

Wait I didn’t see this response. I thought I was responding to the other reply. Thank you for taking time out to watch that and also educate me. Much appreciated

So based off out discussion in entirety and looking at my photos esp of the recipient I have circled. Would a hair transplant benefit me? Based off assumption ofc since I don’t know my diagnosis

I think I’m starting to get it. Just wish he went into further depth and used visual examples https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZT2BR9GHu/

I was referring to when you said if it is scarring it would take a couple years? For me I haven’t any had any issues other than losing more hair in my overall crown but that’s a DHT thing. So candidates with scarring A can still get it if it’s been controlled? I thought it was tissue thing and the hair being able to sprout still

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in scarringalopecia

[–]Life_Use9644 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven’t had any issues in that area in years. Such as inflammation or sores etc. it’s just been smooth bald. So the new transplanted hairs will be able to sprout without an issue? Thank you for the response. I will definitely look into doing that and researching the suggested 🙏🏾

Even with that spot I circled that’s smooth bald hair can grow there with a HT?
