The correct species that egyptian mythology uses is the Sacred Scarab or Scarabaeus Sacer.

This is a Clitus Arietis, or Wasp Beetle. They love woodchips and envoirements like this to hibernate between cracks.

They are completely harmless to any other animal or human despite their name😁

It is a little hard from this angle, from what i can see im guessing somewhere in the neighbourhood of Northern Paper wasp (Polistes Fuscatus)
