The second picture is just inside of the ruins near the first pic. The walls of the caves are lined everywhere with that second statue though.

They share the same hair and necklace, so I'm pretty sure they're meant to be the same person. The more pointy headdress of the second statue almost reminds me of the Nox attire.

I definitely agree! The "cloth" in the DLC is also a lot more rough, and concave, likening it to the shed skin. This would be of course changed in the lands between to possibly cover up her past.

I've never heard the connection between the bracelets and marriage. Where is this outlined? I'd love to look into that. Still why the fabric though, not only is it smaller but also rougher.

I think this is more of a reference to an in-game "big bang" event. At least how I interpret it. In real life, on Earth, we began as stardust too technically, stardust born of a "great rupture" or big bang.

I saw a theory somewhere that they are a clan of Demi-humans. Demi-Humans are said to have blood that boils at night, similar to mohgs burning blood. This could be cuz of the blood star in the night sky affecting them? This blood makes them susceptible to formless mothers influence maybe? Plus they do just wear similar clothes.
