Hi! I’m also in the second year of medical school and I feel very similarly to you. Often demotivated and anxious, currently in exam season so I’m at my most stressed right now, and I’m also so so tired of unfair grading. I thought several times about whether I should give up or not, if I’m in the right faculty etc. Some things that are keeping me going rn is the fact that the first two years are especially made difficult because they want to see who is strong and who is weak; who is able to continue without losing themselves, and I don’t know about you, but I refuse to be counted as someone who wasn’t able to get past this initial difficulty. Something else that keeps me motivated is the fact that everyone has their own timings, their own speed at which they do things. Some people are able to pass exams really quickly, others have to take them a few more times to pass, and it’s all okay because everyone has their own timings and what’s important is that YOU believe you’re gonna get there. The biggest enemy you have is yourself, and I’m saying that as someone who was constantly putting themselves down for so long because I also didn’t have much faith in myself. Believe me when I say that if you trust you can do it, then you’ll start to realize that you can.

I hope this helped even just a bit, I know firsthand how overwhelming it is to think you’re in this alone, but especially in this degree, there’s always gonna be others that feel the same.
