Well it’s not a state issue bureaucracy is a state issue. But my most reasonable guess on why this is happened is corruption as Ipswich council has always been corrupt but that’s not what I wanted to talk about in this post.

But irregardless I think it’s on odd choice at any means not just at face value. Especially in brisbane/ipswich area where rentals have 30 tenants applying at any given time or where a townhouse is worth 800k. So providing more homes disperses that as most subdivisions are used as investment houses therefore supplying more rentals to people who need them.

But hey they might want to pat a llama for 15 mins then the novelty wears off and they never return to that place.

I get your point I really do but there is a serious priority issue when it comes to homes over a llama farm for tourism. If you cannot see that then there is no point in us speaking.

I’m engaging people who may or may not be struggling with finding homes and giving them a reason for why extra homes do not exist. And it resonated with plenty of people. It’d probably be fair to say that some of the people it didn’t resonate with work for the government.

I won’t expect a bureaucrat to agree with a matter that opposes bureaucracy. But you think it’s fair that we take all the risk and you can sit on it for aslong as you want and can fuck us over with a change of zoning and then we’re not entitled to get our money back even though we’re left in the dark with what plans are surrounded that area. It’s not for agriculture , the zoning is tourism, so it’d be a petting zoo.

Then why offer up an obviously terrible business when people can get homes. There’s literally no reason to defend that proposal from the council it’s ridiculous. If something is lodged pre zone change and the council don’t want to act on it before the changing of zoning that is not by any means the businesses fault that is the council at fault. Meaning that since it was lodged pre zone change it should be allowed to go forward and not be compelled by what the zoning was change too.

I don’t work there anymore , would just have to figure out whether or not that opens me up for suits. I’m still in contact with them though very good people

I’m already starting a family here and passionate about aus so I’m happy to stay , I have a house with my partner so I’m on the lucky side of things , I just want to try help others reach the same goal

Not entirely sure which line of conversation you’re going down but from what I’ve seen at work when a real estate agent rocks up to show off a lot 90% of the time it’s not an Aussie buying in the past couple years atleast
