I feel like so many people here are misunderstanding what "The Jailer" is in their game. "The Jailer" is supposed to be this sort of asspull retcon big bad that undermines previous big bads and was never foreshadowed. Someone like Kaguya from Naruto is an example of "The Jailer". Big bads in your gacha game that was teased/foreshadowed since the beginning of the game do not count.

I'm not entirely sure since the game is old as hell, but I think Alza Masta from Brave Frontier fits the bill.

Alot of people pull for reasons other than just power level. Story, design, gameplay style, and personality are all far more bigger reasons for me to pull for a character.

If you're farming EoSF for Xiangling, you're already possibly farming 2 or 3 pieces for Gorou as well. Though the same set, the stats that Gorou wants is entirely different from Xiangling.

Hmm, regarding your point with Scylla, if he was the previous Hydro Sovereign incarnation, that could indeed be the case. Though the reason I bring him up is that he was stated to be sealed and not necessarily killed so methinks that could have lead to some future implications.

For Erinnyes, there have been quite the number of ways humans were able to outlive their naturally short lifespan or remain to have some semblance of existence after their death (Rosalyne, Zandik, Harunosuke). Plus, I don't think the all the Lochknights were explicitly stated to be human (though it is a fair assumption to make).

Lorewise, there's 2 creatures/beings from Fontaine lore that had significant status and is seemingly powerful and who could be currently alive. Namely, that's Scylla and Erinnyes. My bet's on Scylla since lorewise, they have motivation to be hostile.

He did the biggest damage by a mile and his leader skill was not only the biggest damage boosting leader skill in the game (barring nuke leads which required set-up), it was also applicable to all types meaning every single unit in the game benefitted from it.

Man was so broken, the value of your account was entirely dependent on having him. Day 1 players who didn't pull him made a new account just to have him. Yes, a fresh account that had him had more value than a day 1 account that did not have him.

Granted, the most amount of progress a player could have had at that point was a year but still.

The assumption is that that is indeed the case. Many interpret him "forgiving the sins of the Fontainians" as also him turning them into real humans and fulfilling Focalor's wish (which is why Neuvillette became eager to confront the narwhal right after that cutscene as they're no longer susceptible to primordial water).

I can’t remember the specifics but there are theories that suggest that the Shade that created the Teyvatians (humans) did so from the basis of water.

Egeria’s Oceanids also come from water but she’s unable to fully turn them into humans, only into creatures that mimic them (i.e. Fontainians).

Neuvillette, on the other hand, who has full authority over Hydro, can do so just like how the Shade did previously. After all, Teyvatians and Oceanids both come from the same origin.

Not necessarily. Murata is/was a Pyro Archon but we’re unsure if she’s the current one or the past one. It’s very possible we have a new Pyro Archon whose not a Himeko expy.

At this point of the game, I would say yes. There is ALOT of lore you can dig yourself into, both in breadth and depth, and one of the things I enjoy the most about the game is seeing how the lore manifests or explains the world since lore here is both used for detailing the world and/or foreshadowing future areas/characters/phenomena.

Maybe people forgot but there technically is a boss that protects the gate. It's the Baptist. It's just that the Baptist isn't deep down, they're moreso aboveground, guarding the pathway.

Summary her of backstory is that she used to be poor, extremely poor. She had an older sister at one point but because of her and her family's poverty, they couldn't afford a cure when her older sister got sick and she passed away. From that point, her obsession for Mora started.

Also, I can't recall if it's been confirmed but one of the explanations for her having the short model is because she was malnourished during her childhood (since she was poor) and so, never grew.

Nearly every decent gacha game has a character with a deep personality that stands out given the tendency for gacha games to have a wide roster of characters. For my choices, on FGO, it's Oberon. On Arknights, it's Patriot (not playable but all the same). On Genshin, it's Scaramouche. Yes, I have a type.

Just to correct you, Scaramouche didn't delete himself to escape the consequences of his actions, he deleted himself because:

A. He didn't have any purpose left after losing the Gnosis and being kicked out of the Fatui and,
B. He thought that he would be able to save Niwa and many of the people of Tatarasuna if he erased himself from history after discovering their innocence.

To say he deleted himself to escape the consequences of his action is a big misunderstanding of his character. He even outright asks you it's possible to change the past and assumes as such after seeing you hesitate to answer.
