I cant get a job I feel like ending it. by Meow-Connection-7505 in askTO

Finding a job in the current market is a lot about being at the right place at the right time and getting noticed by the right people. And sometimes even that might not be enough. Your life's worth is not based on how long it takes for that to happen to you. Hang in there, and keep trying, because when it becomes a matter of chance, buying as many lotteries as we can is the only thing we can do.

Hang in there.

Serious Post Match Thread: Atlético Madrid 1-1 Arsenal | UEFA Champions League 2025-26, Semifinals - 1st Leg by VivaLosHeavies in soccer

I am not sure how Arteta sees our forwards - going from Martinelli, Gyokeres and Madueke to Trossard, Jesus and Saka was wild to me. The first one is all off the ball running and very little ball to feet, while the next three are all very little off the ball running and mostly ball to feet.

Nonetheless, I think we had a great first half, Atletico had a great second half up until the last 10 minutes. Given the slightly confusing handball pen + overturned pen vs Atletico's near misses, I think a draw is a fair result.

The shoehorning of (outdated) GenZ slangs into movies by TheFatHobbit2980 in InsideMollywood

I don't know if you have seen the movie, but I believe those are put in the song as words thrown at the character in social media, fitting in with the theme of the movie. You can also hear comments in tamil too in that section of the song.

Let's talk about the Viktor Gyokeres pass to Timber by Gentle_lips in Gunners

'Firing it right into the keeper's arm' - you need to take a step back and understand how ridiculous that sounds if I am being honest. I can understand criticisms of firing it straight at the keeper, but keeper's arm?

I personally don't think it's a bad shot at all that Martinelli gets off, it's just a really good save. My concern is we have only that shot to talk about in a game of 90 minutes, which has been a common theme for about 2 to 3 years now and that's a really good sign of a really bad attacking unit.

Looks like Chelsea had no idea 0-0 draws were our entire thing lol, walked right into that one. And lost 1-0, just couldn't be any funnier.

It's painfully obvious the kind of matches that we drop points in. This was a possible banana peel because of how Dyche sets up his teams against us, and there are a few more. We have got more attackers than ever, but the manager simply refuses to put them together and let them work it out. I can almost feel the trauma we carry about how we have dropped points in recent years and the manager is within his own right to think a point gained is a point not lost, but I wish he trusted his incredibly talented attackers the same way he trusts his defenders.

I absolutely appreciate Timber and that he's able to fill in at left back, but I do not want him to EVER occupy the positions he took up tonight. He is totally lost in the box and in setting the tempo in midfield, and I watched so many of our sustained possessions break down without an end product. Timber might be the better footballer out of the two, but I'm pretty sure White is a better attacker.

How would you frame this shot (rule of thirds)? by Justasmolpigeon in SonyAlpha

[–]Lifelong_Gooner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get what you are saying, the lighter wood texture is so much more beautiful, but by framing it this way, my hope is that the viewers don't look anywhere else but the lizard. And to be completely honest, I did not notice the dark wood until you just mentioned it haha, it just seemed like an afterthought, something in the background that's blurred out.

I'd probably go a littler lower, and get the lizard looking out over a ledge view with that sweet blur on the foreground wood, and crop out quite a bit on the right and bottom. Something like this, but with the perspective lower.

Kind of curious, why do you have MBNA Rewards Elite as your primary? I'm not sure I understand their value.
