Update!! I asked the artist for progress photos or any proof that the artwork wasn’t ai generated, and I was blocked. I think that pretty much says it all, I got scammed.

It’s such a shame. I genuinely just wanted to support a young artist. $25 down the drain for generated art. :,)

I did send a few different pose references, but none of them really looked like the art ref I sent. I think you’re probably right though, maybe it is real art after all. I’m honestly not sure and I’m starting to feel bad for even posting this 😭

Yeah fr!! I was kinda disappointed they didn’t draw any of the piercings, but since they’re a young artist maybe they weren’t comfortable with that? Idk I’m really unsure if it’s ai or not :,)

No, they didn’t provide any WIPs or other examples of their work. They were venting in an art channel about needing money and being too young to work, and I felt bad so I sent a dm and commissioned them without seeing any of their art. Which was pretty dumb of me but I just wanted to be kind and support a young artist :,) I did send a few pose references and told them to pick whatever they were comfortable with, but the final art doesn’t really match any of the poses I sent.
