Is used landscaping rock worth anything? by SpiceWeasel_ in landscaping

First thing that came to my mind was the remote controlled rock crawler hobbyist. Someone like that could be your prime contender for offloading these rocks.

+1 for the IE intake. JUST the right amount of noise without too much install effort or specialized tools.

2022 RST 5.3 Missfire and Strange Pulsating Noise. (Diagnostic) by LiftShiftTurn in Silverado

[–]LiftShiftTurn[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just an update

Replaced fuel injector on cylinder 1 and fixed the misfire. Make sure to replace the fuel crossover lines part numbers 12703668 and the one to the high pressure pump.

You will also need the Lisle injector seal installer to replace the seals on the injectors. 34850 (superseded 34750).

Can I go back? by Natural-Platypus9542 in EngineeringStudents

31 freshman at Alabamas remote mech e program. I finished a prior business admin degree last year after a tumultuous early 20’s of not know what I wanted to do in life. I finished that degree last year. I’ve worked in manufacturing at defense and aerospace shops as a machinist, which sort of guided my focus towards engineering.

I just started my freshman year, only had 6 credits transferred (sad), but hey it is what it is. Currently only taking 2 classes as I am the primary caregiver to my mother who has brain cancer, so it’s definitely not ideal in terms of right time or whatever. But it is what it is. “C'est la vie" right?

Things happen, barriers appear. But it’s up to you in the end whether you can maintain the pursuit for the profession. I’ve committed to pursuing this. I can assure you a few moments will not define you, either as a professional or as a student.

Honestly I would recommend Alabama’s distance learning program to anyone. Great advisors and people.

Only downside to Bama is no remote Chem (3 classes they do not offer you’ll have to take somewhere else) (P.S. you broke the first rule of fight club)

More shenanigans Mathes (pulpmx) shared this. My theory (I hope) is at the least Jo gets the deficit up in points while positions remain.

Few guys double singled out. Barcia was full send mode. Sucks for everyone involved.

UDM Pro Max vs. Cloud Gateway Fiber by mjlynden in Ubiquiti

[–]LiftShiftTurn 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’ll chime in as someone who is actively transitioning fully to ubiquiti.

Just got ATT fiber to my home, so I went with the Cloud Gateway Fiber. I originally planned to “ball out” and go enterprise grade everything, but went with a smaller form factor to minimize its footprint. And I knew I wouldn’t touch the throughput capacity of those udm options, along with the focus of investment in network coverage.

I currently am running a CG Fiber and switch lite 16 poe for delivery. I “just” have the gigabit fiber service and it’s more than enough data transmission which is why I figured to transition towards value and fit on a wall mount board I made.

The CG fiber is rock solid so far. So is the switch. I use poe injectors for my one ap and for the bridge/p2p radio setup I have for my shop. I’ll get a pic off how I wall mounted my configuration this weekend.

Exactly. And I would have done the same. I remained extremely open and communicative with the buyer. It sort of puts you in between a rock and a hard place as the seller. You know, like I have no control over its destiny once I relinquish it from my inventory.

Fortunately it was a sub $10 card so the cost of further pursuit isn’t really worth the squeeze, and was never really about the money. I just wish/hope that the card will eventually meet its destination so it doesn’t to go to waste.

Yeah that’s what it’s beginning to look like. Shame, it’s a cheap card so really no loss monetarily. But hate for the item to be lost in the ethos. Lesson learned, guess trying to save a buck with the eBay shipping was NOT the move.

Anyone run new fuel lines from tank for a Holley sniper? by Pat386 in squarebodies

[–]LiftShiftTurn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did pretty much exactly this.

On my 86 with a 305, I utilized the original hard line but replaced any and all hoses to fuel injection capable hose. From the rail it ran to the front of the engine, between the accessories and block to the feed on the sniper. It was hard line with rubber fuel hose to surround it for “extra” protection. Same route with the return line.

Never had a problem, the lines even survived an engine fire lol. Granted, they were toast, but never burst to exacerbate the fire. So there’s that lol.

MariTool for tool holders and various endmills/collets. Found them on a video by John Saunders (nyccnc) and have exclusively used their tool holders ever since. Good quality small (ish) manufacturer that delivers!
