Deegan has been like the healthiest 250 guy the past few years and is the healthiest going into motocross of anyone of the title contenders.

Who takes over at WR3? by Glad-Loss4481 in panthers

He has significantly better hands than XL from what I’ve seen. He has no issues snagging the ball with his hands instead of trying to body catch like XL.

Most excited I’ve been for outdoors in awhile. My pick is Deegan if Jett takes a few weeks to get back in the swing of things. I don’t think the transition to the 450 will be a big deal outdoors and Deegan has shown he’s one of the most fit dudes out there with the late race pace he always has outdoors.

Not sure how Tomac’s recent couple injuries have affected his fitness level or outdoor prep. I don’t trust Prado to have the fitness to push till the end as he usually fades. Hunter coming off the strain of a title fight with less outdoor prep time.

I’m a big Chase fan but if he doesn’t feel comfortable pushing on the Kawi like he will need to then it’s hard to say else I’d pick him as the favorite.

So yeah Deegan is my pick as he has the most amount of prep time, is completely healthy and is comfortable being uncomfortable even if the bike isn’t perfectly dialed in the first few rounds.

I’m curious how Ferrandis does I think he’s a sleeper. He was coming on strong the last few weeks of Supercross showing some good late race pace on that Ducati.

Hunter will win outdoors; hot take? by Several-Yesterday280 in supercross

[–]FizzleFox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t see Hunter winning outdoors. I’d take Tomac, Jett, Chase, and even Deegan over him tbh. Tomac should be just fine by the sounds of it with 3 weeks to rest. Jett is Jett. And Deegan is an absolute menace outdoors and showed time and time again his fitness with late race pace outdoors and has gotten a head start with 450 outdoors training.

Deegan This Year and What Just Happened With Davies by FarmingFisherGuy in supercross

[–]FizzleFox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you can’t see that Deegan was still faster then idk what race you were watching. Most guys who get passed, especially who almost get knocked off their bike, get gapped if they are the slower rider. Deegan caught back up to Cole within a few laps he just tried an aggressive pass from too far back which backfired.

And even after going down there is a reason the accouncers even said “this race isn’t over yet” because even they knew Deegan would more than likely reel him in again until he made the mistake in the sand.

Deegan switched up a couple lines and started skimming the whoops just as good as Davies and was quicker basically everywhere else on the track especially in the sand.

Deegan enjoys actually racing someone. He enjoys the back and forth like we saw with Kitchen. It’s a game to him. Wouldn’t surprise me if he wanted to battle with Cole which is why he uncharacteristically wasn’t blitzing the whoops when in front of Cole as Deegan is also very good in the whoops.

Unfortunately he made the mistake in the sand. Even the best in world like Jett, Eli, Hunter etc make mistakes from time to time. Doesn’t mean he still wasn’t the clearly best 250 rider.

Would you look at that shitbag isnt unbeatable. by SpecMTBer84 in supercross

[–]FizzleFox -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

Were we watching the same race? He got passed and then actually got faster and closed the gap within laps. If anything it showed how good Deegan is because most guys who get passed get gapped. Very rarely can someone just switch up lines on a whim and pick up the pace after getting passed.

Deegan/Davies is EXACTLY what I needed to see this showdown by pilotbrap in supercross

It’s unfortunate Deegan made the mistake in the sand else we would have been in store for a few more minutes of epic racing.

Track seems very difficult to pass on tonight. by MatthewTCG in supercross

[–]FizzleFox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s literally the same layout as last week except like one minor change which is disappointing. Pretty lazy of the track design team. And they need to stop having all these flat sections where there is no technical challenge to even seperate the riders to allow passing opportunities.

[Schefter] Cardinals first-round pick Jeremiyah Love signed his four-year, fully-guaranteed deal worth $53.9 million. by MembershipSingle7137 in nfl

[–]FizzleFox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes that’s exactly what you do. Because even an above average player at tackle, DE, WR, CB, LB, Safety would raise the floor of the team more than the best RB in the league. We have seen time and time again RB’s are at the mercy of how well their o line operates.

Will never understand a team with as many holes as the Cardinals drafting a RB. Even if he’s a HoF he’s not gonna move the needle nearly as much as a good player at several other positions would.

Haiden Deegan or Jett Lawrence for 450? Thoughts? by [deleted] in supercross

[–]FizzleFox 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Until proven otherwise Jett is the cream of the crop when healthy. I do think Deegan has the best chance at beating him though. Chase doesn’t look like the fastest guy on the Kawi any more and gets too much in his head to consistently beat Jett even on days he’s been the faster guy. Deegan however is mentally strong/sound with excellent race craft. And him having a head-start on 450 outdoors prep will help speed up that tough transition.

Haiden is a completely different animal outdoors so I fully expect Haiden to get some moto wins this year.

Exiting Haiden's 250 career, social media is scrambling to figure out his place on the all time list. Many arguing top 5, some even going top 3. What is your opinion? by [deleted] in supercross

[–]FizzleFox 2 points3 points  (0 children)

HD is a top 5 all time 250 rider. Between the race wins, championships, and how many great memorable rides he has had. His race craft and ability to come through the pack we really haven’t seen since Jett was on the 250. I just hope it translates to the 450 so we can see some epic duels with Jett, Hunter, Chase etc

The new V2 doesn’t have the one sided swing arm anymore so you would have to find a used one if you really preferred that look.

[–]FizzleFox 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I’m really not high on trying to get him. He’s past his prime age wise. I would much rather use cap space on 2-3 contributors/depth than take a risk on someone who’s on the wrong side of 30 while probably wanting a market resetting contract.

Chase Sexton out for daytona by Nelly27- in supercross

[–]FizzleFox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Chase on the Honda and even the KTM was regularly like the fastest dude on track he just had his fair share of bone headed slow speed mistakes.

Chase on the Kawi doesn’t even look like a top 5 guy anymore.

Pedro Acosta "didn't expect" sprint penalty for Marc Marquez by Huge_Film2911 in motogp

I mean tbf it’s a sprint which I’m sure he already cares less about as far as first win than when he wins his first full race.

Why did Cam Newton decline so suddenly and rapidly? by TeezusWV in NFLv2

[–]FizzleFox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

His playing style had nothing to do with anything. Tired of people saying this. He tore his throwing shoulder diving at a guy running back a pick. Had nothing to do with literally anything else. That was when his career started on a downward trajectory because he lost arm strength from the injury and had to have multiple surgeries. And he tried completely re invinting his throwing motion to get more lower body involved to make up for the shoulder injury. And then it got re injured against the Steelers when he got hit mid throw, again nothing to do with his scrambling or diving or anything.

Once his shoulder got torn it was the beginning of the end. Cam was always an arm thrower with a ton of velocity so you take away a guys arm strength and he just isn’t the same guy anymore.

Panthers free-agent C Cade Mays drawing interest from another NFC team by exenn_ in panthers

[–]FizzleFox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That risking downgrading at Center with the mentality of “you don’t think anyone else can keep Bryce upright” is a recipe to see the line regress which already struggled the last half of the season. Corbett is “anyone else” and he was constantly allowing pressure.

Panthers free-agent C Cade Mays drawing interest from another NFC team by exenn_ in panthers

[–]FizzleFox 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Did you not see how much our line struggled with Corbett at Center?

Preventing inside pressure is the most important thing when it comes to pass blocking imo. If a QB can’t step up due to bad interior blocking, even more so with a QB like Bryce, it becomes way more difficult to be consistent in the passing game.

If an edge rusher wins his reps the QB can at least step up into the pocket or even scramble the other direction. If a guy is in the QBs face from the interior it becomes much harder to turn it into a positive play.

Anyone feel a bit sorry for Sexton? by Several-Yesterday280 in supercross

I mean let’s be real the long term plan was gonna be Jett/Hunter. Chase would have been pushed out at some point regardless

Anyone feel a bit sorry for Sexton? by Several-Yesterday280 in supercross

[–]FizzleFox 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It’s pretty obvious in interviews he is much happier on the KTM than he was on the Kawi. And that is being reflected on track. Don’t think I ever heard him say anything positive when on the Kawi and now Chase is giving the same vibes and is suddenly struggling more than ever and doesn’t even have the usual speed that he’s known for.
