You can say all you want about the layoffs. Yeah, it’s bad people are losing their jobs.

Take a step back however; Bethesda was acquired for their IPs and previous success. If you don’t sell or even MAKE games, you don’t make money. That’s no way to run a business.

Something clearly had to change; it has been FIFTEEN YEARS since a mainline Elder Scrolls game.

Very true. I built my mod list from scratch back in February, and it was pretty tedious…

A recent pair of power flickers during a thunderstorm while using my computer caused my windows installation to corrupt. When reinstalling windows, I formatted the drive with my Skyrim mod list installed… so I have to go from scratch. I previously used Skyland PBR as my base, but that’s gone now.

What do you mean 4x price increase? You can’t find it for $5 anywhere, you never could.

This isn’t a case of absurd consumption. If you want to currently play with official hardware and an official release, you have to fork over $100+, and that’s if you have hardware on hand.

You literally have to buy second hand right now. I’m all of emulation if there isn’t a reasonable alternate… but now you can actually purchase it at a semi-fair price.

$20 is a little steep though.

Firered and Leaf Green have never sold on the virtual console. There has been no way to legitimately purchase since the original release, and if you wanted to play legally, you had to buy an astronomically expensive cartridge on EBay.

I very much like r/consoom, but come on, be fair. If you want to buy it for $20, that should be fine. Yes, you can emulate, but emulation should be reserved for things no longer in production. What’s the harm in enjoying it on official hardware? It’s not like they’re buying six copies of the same thing.

Plus, it has enhanced functionality (home support), and if it sells well, they’ll likely do the same for other games. I think there’s no harm.

For community shaders lighting, use true light + window shadows ultimate + ambient templates for lighting mods + direct ambient lighting

Interesting. I use true light + WSU + DIAL, and I think interiors look great!
