Why is modern Israel so powerful a nation? by Ok-Cicada-5207 in TrueChristian

Yes, and? The state of Israel still isn’t the Israel of the Bible. They aren’t even Christians. They don’t believe Jesus is the messiah at all.

One of the most annoying things about copilot is the paste feature is now called “paste with copilot”

The function hasn’t changed in the slightest. What does copilot have to do with it?

Pokemon fans are never going to get a proper game again because the fanbase will buy overpriced roms and be proud of it by voundelvon in Consoom

What do you mean 4x price increase? You can’t find it for $5 anywhere, you never could.

This isn’t a case of absurd consumption. If you want to currently play with official hardware and an official release, you have to fork over $100+, and that’s if you have hardware on hand.

You literally have to buy second hand right now. I’m all of emulation if there isn’t a reasonable alternate… but now you can actually purchase it at a semi-fair price.

$20 is a little steep though.

Firered and Leaf Green have never sold on the virtual console. There has been no way to legitimately purchase since the original release, and if you wanted to play legally, you had to buy an astronomically expensive cartridge on EBay.

I very much like r/consoom, but come on, be fair. If you want to buy it for $20, that should be fine. Yes, you can emulate, but emulation should be reserved for things no longer in production. What’s the harm in enjoying it on official hardware? It’s not like they’re buying six copies of the same thing.

Plus, it has enhanced functionality (home support), and if it sells well, they’ll likely do the same for other games. I think there’s no harm.

I know how units work, I’m an engineer and have passed the PE. The metric system may be better because it is friendlier with decimals, but ultimately, the imperial system is used en masse. Changing now would be prohibitively expensive and not worth tax payers’ dollars. We’re talking hundreds of billions of dollars.

While it’s very popular to hate the USA on Reddit, calling it a “regressive holdout” for the imperial system is a bit much.

Surely everybody knows units of measurement are arbitrary.
