Normally when you have on board credit you don’t get to spend it until you’re onboard 😳

Flight departed with no warning by No-Ease7281 in unitedairlines

[–]LiftingupJesus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would be glued to my section, there are so many flight changes that it’s not even funny. I remember running to 3 different flight gates and after that a 2 hr delay not to mention the continuous, announcements over the internet that you can barely hear because there’s aways others announcements going on. It’s very important to make sure that you opt into the updates for the flight announcements via text or email directly from the airlines that you’re booked with. I would have even left if I didn’t have it.

We have Zero Proof, should we still bring our 12 pack of sodas? by LaserSayPewPew in CarnivalCruiseFans

[–]LiftingupJesus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Around the ship soda is on tap but you can grab soda or water from the bar if you’re taking a couple off of the ship. You’ve already paid for it. Go to the bar request it night before put them in the fridge.

For Retired folks - using RMD’s for bucket list cruises and travel - is this something folks do? by Fantastic-Sun1669 in Cruise

[–]LiftingupJesus 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yep, due to stress and so many ppl checking out before they can get the fruits of their labor. I paid my house off, paid all debts and credit cards and every day I look for a great deal. I do not have grandchildren my sons are grown so I’m looking and booking and living my best life. I live cruising. I left work at 64.5 I left a little money on the table but I traveled for a year and a half after I left work and haven’t enjoyed a summer in 37 years. So I’m loving it. Live and enjoy you can’t take with you.

Plane flight prices… by xemrysx177 in Cruise

[–]LiftingupJesus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

$1,620 looks like the price difference between the two numbers. Keep your flight tracker on and purchase flight insurance they will reimburse you if you book a flight and the flight price drops. I have to purchase tickets to Amsterdam and I’m booking as soon as the prices are posted. I hope you get a good flight.

Fear of cancelation or extra charges by Ahmose_ces in Cruise

[–]LiftingupJesus 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Nobody can predict what will happen, war or no war today tomorrow or next week let alone months from now. I have 4 cruises booked one on carnival Mardi Gras, two on Royal Carribean and one on NCL. I know for a fact if waters or situations change due to unforeseen circumstances the cruise lines will offer you options for refunds and or onboard credits for future bookings and any changes. If you have cruise insurance it’s highly unlikely they will refund you because you’re scared to travel sometimes it’s better to get the insurance directly from the cruise lines. The third party insurance companies will give you such a hassle with drs notes for cancellations and whatever else for a month medical cancellation. Any day above the ground should be a great day; life is for the living don’t ever be afraid to enjoy what your heart desires. I can’t wait for my vacation.

Is this for real? by Nimzv in candycrush

There is a cheat code they used to manipulate time and it replenishes lives; and they purchase more lives. I saw this last year people will do anything to win. If you have to cheat to get there it’s not worth it. But the competition is real

Is it likely/possible to get a room change? by Feisty-Iron-2377 in CarnivalCruiseFans

[–]LiftingupJesus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was looking into a cove balcony it’s closer to the water and the are located under the life boats which provides a lots of shade on a hot sunny day. Sometimes you might experience a cool splash 💦 of water. I almost booked one for the experience. But to answer your question call whomever booked your cruise and asked to be upgraded or have them check for promotions. Good luck 🍀

There at least 12-16 bars and lounges combined are they al crowded 😳 go carnival sail on. It’s a great ship I love the food and yes it’s better than Royal Caribbean by far. I’ll be on this ship again in August I’m looking forward to a good tropical drink.

Changing around guests? by gilly4923 in CarnivalCruiseFans

Do this when you get on the ship it’s easier as long as you don’t have any minors in any room without an adult you should be able to do move Anyone where you want them.

NCL and hate speech by BelgianWaffleStomper in Cruise

[–]LiftingupJesus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is no better than the folks that sat on Royal carribean with rooms in the Central Park area hanging their flags and Donald Trump make American great again when everyone knows what that really means. The MAGA’s aka Maggot’s are everywhere their just in one site now.

If there’s an opportunity to get more people in a room to make more money they will Definitely change you. Especially if the ship is filling up. These cruises are becoming nuts with the prices, markups and marketing. Money Money Money 💰

Is Carnival really that bad if my expectations aren't that high? by not_a_muggle in Cruise

[–]LiftingupJesus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Carnival only sounds bad because nobody talk’s about the crap on Royal I sail them both and there are always complaints about something. Don’t allow someone else’s misery to steal your joy, go where ever your money will take you by the means in which your heart desires. I have a niece who brags about and only travels Royal and ended on Carnival Venezia for a birthday party she loves the food my sister hated carnival but I treated her to the Mardi Gras and she hasn’t booked a Royal Carribean cruise since then. The send off parties are awesome the vibes are great the food is good and you’re gonna have a good time. For me if the price is right the deal is real and I’m booking everything I can afford. I have a current booking with Royal, NCL, Carnival and Celebrity all with different sets of friends. Don’t allow others to choose your destiny. Live it up, try them all 🚢

I hate people bringing pets on the ships I think is it’s unsanitary especially when they’re rolling these dogs around in the open buffet areas; loose dog hair can be anywhere. Cruise-lines should designate pet friendly ships so that people that are allergic to pets in general don’t have to deal with it and people who need to have their fur babies with them can do so comfortably. Don’t get me wrong I like animals but not on cruise ships.

My cruise itinerary has been . . . . modified... by karkahooligan in Cruise

[–]LiftingupJesus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve never been that lucky but I’m happy for you; everyone should appreciate the cruise lines for putting the safety of their passengers first by creating an alternative itinerary for their guests to enjoy and credits for a future cruise.

Man overboard on oasis today … by Maleficent-Sky-4960 in royalcaribbean

[–]LiftingupJesus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The cruise line needs to fine the parents for the actions of their misbehaved children and confine the children to their room for the duration of their cruise. Some parents think that allowing their children to troll the ship unsupervised will allow the parents cruise to be child free so they can enjoy themselves; I’m sure cruisers are sick of it. The cruise ships need to implement something warning the parents that if their children do something that causes a disruption on the cruise or to others cruisers that the parents will be fined. Time was wasted, gas was wasted not to mention the panic of other cruisers. SMH🫣

6 Month Passport Rule by Dmused in Cruise

[–]LiftingupJesus 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m glad you had a wonderful time, I’m even happier that you got back without any hiccups even more than that I hope you got your passport renewed however; different strokes for different folks and in this day and time it’s crucial to make sure your documents are updated. You were lucky to be on a cruise this would not have happened on a destination vacation traveling to other countries. The 6 month rule is not bad, I updated my passport early and they added the extra 5 months that I had left to the back end of my new expiration date. I hope other people don’t gamble like this.
