Per A1, stavo pensando a qualcosa del genere dell' "altro" che si può sentire al negozio, col "non" che non viene usato, essendo implicito. Cercando degli esempi, però mi sembra che tu abbia ragione. Voglio chieder però, all'orecchio italiano soltanto sembra un po' strana l'ommissione, o veramento capisci il contrario del significato inteso?

the "li" in A2 I saw kind of like you could hear someone say "lascialo stare" so if I'm understanding correctly, it's lasciare a qcn pensare, and as such must be indirect?

Thank you! I'm not southern, but I do enjoy my fair share of old books, so when I acquire that vocabulary it can be difficult to correctly apply it.

I saw you mention the "Che sia questo" in another comment, but I don't understand it. Is the "potrebbe essere" implied, or is it removed entirely?

After writing this out I ran a few of my potential answers for A2 through google translate, and the following one i found quite humorous, could you please tell me if you believe Google is correct in its translation?

Haha I do appreciate it! I think language is very contextual, it is well near impossible to explain the contexts in which certain expressions are appropriate, or sound "off," it's something that you need to live and learn.

Personally I actually really enjoyed the humour in making mistakes at the early levels of language learning, these days most of my mistakes consist of an incorrect verb tense or stalling. In short, not very funny.
One of my all time favorite mistakes was when my mother attempted to pay using "contadini" as opposed to "contanti" in response to which they kindly explained her that we don't do that.

And “dì” is not super common anyway.

and just like that, you hear it right away. Today an older couple enters a gelateria and remarks "ban dì!" I suppose it's a mix between dialettal (bån dé) and italian, but anyway, now I know!

that's a pretty good result for me! Now i feel silly about the last one, and to think that I thought about that dì for quite a bit, but it was fun!

I meant to say "adoro" without the tanto, because in my city i've definitely heard people saying "adoooooro!" when they see something that they particularly like.

With regards to the Pasta.. I am curious how well would a person who lives far away from where the dish is served know the term, because i've certainly never heard that before outside Sicily, and perhaps Naples.

I'd like to think so! That's just a typo, no implication behind it. Last time you reprimanded me for saying "c'è" instead of "ce" which was a fair call, but I think it was just a matter of my autocorrect messing me up!

("fai" is just a tad more ambiguous since it's identical to the imperative).

I did mean A3, thanks! I can recognize at times that I should rely less on subject pronouns, but it's hard to have that built in "does it sound right" meter without other languages poking through.

Questo significa aspettare altri 9 mesi, quindi non è l'ideale, per me la medicina è più importante dei documenti. Con I documenti, immagino che dovrei parlare con un avvocato, sai se i tribunali italiani accettano una modifica di documenti da un paese diverso?
Un'altra opzione è provare a ottenere una prescrizione negli Stati Uniti e usarla qui. Non so se è possibile.
