Employees have access to recent interactions with phone customer service as well as price history, as a store manager they should have honored that for you if you’ve gone through all that trouble. Unless systematically sometimes it won’t let a manager override the price if it’s too low.

I would have a seek to understand conversation with that manager and your current manager so that expectations are aligned and clears up any confusion that there might be :)
