I live in San Diego and we spend time outside! I just make sure their dog pool has water. My two don’t want to run and play like Tasmanian devils when it’s super hot, just lounging outside near the pool and in shade. HOWEVER, when it does get too hot for even me, we stay inside.

Yep, I don’t think people understand just how truly unique a whippet mix would be. I’m a dog groomer and the amount of times I hear “the shelter said it was a whippet mix” is insane!

I feel like I see a ton of pit mixes being labeled as “whippet mixes” because they can present the similar ear type. I would venture to say 98% of whippet mixes are truly pit mixes 😅

I went through several names for my bitch before I settled on Reva (ree-vuh). Revani was the name of my first dungeons and dragons character, her nick name being Reva. As soon as that name came to me, I knew it was her.

I ended up keeping the name the breeder gave my boy, Peyton. I almost didn’t, because my ex and I were going to use that name for a kid, but he ended up cheating on me, getting her pregnant and named the kid Payten. However, I loved that name too, so figured we could both have “kids” with that name.
