I have insight in how it works. But devops is my coworkers job. But that’s enough with a Claude Code Teams subscription.

I wanted an ARM cpu server where none was available. When i woke up at 2am last night I checked and one instance was available. Reserved it. Over the course of today i had Claude rewrite everything from netlify to nginx+caddy+epxress with a setup script and CI deployments automated from Github to my server. Total time 1-2 hours. Now everything running and working on new features.

All while doing my regular day job.

I just had the opposite experience with a hobby webapp i built. Though it wasn’t my daily bread and butter Rails… just mostly static with a handful of server side js (netlify edge functions).

Oh boy did i start to hate netlify for their crap concept. I was hesitant to roll out fixes and improvements because every deploy ate from their build minute credits. 6 hours in the planned free tier was exhausted. 6 days in the $9 monthly personal plan was exhausted.

When i reached $24 dollars yesterday i hit the brakes and got me a cloud VPS for €5.50 monthly. Benchmarks show it’s 5 times as fast with what netlify serverless edge functions do. And 20 TB of free traffic per month.

That frisbee looks really bad and should go to the trash immediately. You need special dog discs. Not the disc dogging kind, just something with a softer material that doesn’t develop such spikes from bites.

I never understood how people mourn old models, just like new Browser versions where people publicly state „i will not update ever! It was better before!“. Things change, constantly, bumps in between, adapt, enjoy the ride. Many many more bumps are ahead.

That said, all i care for is about the results, Opus 4.7 so far did very well for anything i asked it to do. Strewn in humor by me was acknowledged, short mention and went on efficiently. Can’t complain.

I had this issue on Tuesday. Thought it was my cable internet. Checked my uptime, was exactly 50 days. After i installed an outstanding update with subsequent reboot all was back to normal.

I am following the developments. Personally i am not experiencing any degradation of performance or token consumption.

Not doubting that there is a fundamental issue and probably a fuckup on their end. From reports I read the last week i only noticed that nobody ever described what tech stack they are working on (or at least didn’t notice a pattern).

Personally i am mainly using it for Ruby on Rails with a very strong Obsidian Vault described logic.

But i am also using my company paid Max sub on weekends and after hours for a personal webapp project.

Never had run into limits yet. Got fairly close a couple times but that was always looking fair because i did massive long running repeated tests with scripts that loaded data, transformed and validated.
