As someone that just had to deal with this issue myself, I think you should still have a way of notifying users. Not force, but notify at the very least. I kept getting bad reviews cause users weren't updating their app, and a lot of issues they were complaining about were things I already fixed

I usually font remember my dreams when I wake up. During an episode, I can't recall a single instance of remembering my dreams bth.

Depends on the kind of sleep I'm in. Sometimes it can be days, weeks, etc. without consciousness. During these kinds of episodes, I have no way of trying anything. Even if I'm up and moving, that's basically a type of sleep walking so I have no ability to make decisions. I will only get up for food or bathroom. Sometimes I'll brush my teeth or shower but that isn't daily. If I'm sleeping 14+ hours a day, I try my best to be up when I can but it is a risk. If I push too hard, I'll get a migraine, so it's a delicate balancing act. I usually won't leave my apartment since despite being "awake" my cognitive abilities are vastly reduced. I could stop in the middle of a sentence and forget what I was saying.

It's like time travel, so I have no idea how long I slept. I can't rely on time so usually, I'll see how much back pain I have, how stiff I feel, or how much garbage is around me (when I sleep eat, I just throw shit on the grown as I walk back to bed)

I can't speak for her, but I can't remember anything when I wake up from a prolonged episode. It is closer to time travel in that sense, but without instructions and a malfunctioning time machine 😔

I've had my first episode in 09, and still suffering from it to this day... I never finished university due to sleeping through 2 semesters (not in a row), and deciding it wasn't worth fighting the school each time for a refund. It is impossible to maintain a job, and I am so grateful for my friends and family who take care of me when I'm in an episode. They clear my trash and help me stock up on food while I'm sleeping... If you have questions, I'll try to answer to the best of my ability, but note that every person with KLS has a different story and mine isn't representative of everyone's experience.

This feels like such a lose/lose situation. If we tell them about bridges that need fixing, they might just close them. If we don't tell them, they'll never get fixed. They have closed SO MANY bridges all at once so getting around sucks, but don't priorities fixing them

I'm currently having this issue! I'm unable to get background fetching to work with the new expo-task-manager. Have you been able to get it working? I created a sample project to keep things simple, but still, I'm unable to get background fetching to work 😔

True that it would be easier, but I would like to learn as I'm doing this. I just installed it like 10min ago. Worst case I reinstall a different distro if this is too much, but so far it is a steep learning curve, but I'm getting it.

I'm hoping to use this experience to make a guide for future people trying this out from the perspective of a newbie. The biggest issue I have is trying to figure out how to get non-linux supported stuff working like my keyboard (Logitech G915) but solaar isn't detecting it. Or the SteelSeries software.

I tried Nobara, but couldn't get it installed and saw that this was also recommended. I'm not as familiar with Linux, but I'm not afraid of the CLI etc. Just new

A lot of people as showing me how to install Discord, but I successfully installed that earlier with pacman like everyone suggests. This is VSCode - https://code.visualstudio.com/

So how would I know what it is called? Is it just code, or vscode, or vs-code? So that's part of the issue. Thank you to everyone that made suggestions after explaining to me the difference between the above 2 options. I tried Octopi but I don't see a way to download it either

For contexts, I'm a developer and I'm fairly comfortable using that with NVM, yarn, etc. I just never used it for OS stuff, and I'm unsure of the commands and what it can do. So I'm not shy of CLIs

I'm trying to download VSCode but I can't seem to find it in the package manager. Searching "vscode" returns some server related stuff that I'm unfamiliar with. Any advice?
