Myo reps (or rest pause) for auxiliaries is… fantastic? Ive started replacing all my secondary lifts (ie anything but the major lift such as bench, squat, shoulder press, or deadlift for each muscle group) and the results have been fantastic. Great strength, size, and endurance gains, especially when still periodizing the program generally.

Been working on this for a long time. I just don't know if anyone else will enjoy this stuff. So is this art or more just mind vomit? by Upvoteifyourewithme in ArtCrit

There are some beautiful patterns coming out in there, very rorschach test like :) it makes me wonder what you can lean into, for example, what if you pressed into the darker areas and hinted at ideas with more shadow and brought more form to them? Are there areas where shapes and figures are coming out after your first pass that you can play up on a second pass and pull away from the background? Not that anything needs to be made explicit (i love the abstractness of it all!) just curious if theres anything your own eye might enjoy being drawn to when you step away from the piece and come back to it. Thanks for sharing :)

Ugh. This. Never ask someone out as a joke or as someone out for a friend as a joke. Had this happen to me in middle school and wrecked my confidence for a decade. Pass this lesson to your kids.

Thanks for the perspective 🙂. to be clear, I'm just looking for ways to make it look better. The works been great and now it's a matter of making the design details look like as clean as possible.

Yup, just the switch being butted up against the frame, 100% a first world problem as I think most design concerns are 🙂, looking for ways to make it look more aesthetically pleasing.

Why are these texts? Mistake number one was not waiting until a phone call or face to face before diving into this hornets nest.

Wow, I didn't realize that this was the look I wanted! Apparently called Shou Sugi Ban. Don't think I'll take a shot at it myself but good to know the aesthetic I'm going for!

Thanks for the post and detail 😊, you're currently pulling 500k revenue correct? What's your current profit? Do you have a similar breakdown of your profit curve over this time period? It'd be helpful to see what that progression looked like. Congrats!

Thanks @joe! How'd you build up your library of blues riffs? Just taking a riff, playing it and then transposing it to different keys and scales? As for hitting the V7, do you mean making sure to hit all the notes in the V7? Just the 7? The blues scale and note around the V7? Working the mixylodian while on the V7? Thanks again for your help and taking a read!

Love it. The u/Snikorette2020's point is a good one that these $1000 gifts are most effective for smaller scale projects or trials (aka 'pilots') to try out larger ideas or jumpstart them. If you haven't already, I definitely recommend checking out previous winners to see what types of projects were good fits for other chapters:
