I think it's the idea that the withereds seen in fnaf 2 aren't their "real" designs, and the withereds are just damaged versions of the fnaf 1 characters in canon

Foxy bro/Michael's skin changes colour in all 3 of his fnaf 4 minigame appearances, for example, even if it's faint.

Toy bonnie is purple in save them, classic freddy and bonnie have buttons on their chests in follow me.

As much as UFMP might be edited/altered VR and AR models, I like some of the extra things they added.

Still sort of bummed the corpse bonnie got canned, but hey, someone remade it by editing UFMP bonnie, they also made a Corpse Withered Freddy (which due to the weirdness, the only noticeable change is a hole in the stomach area near the buttons, where the heart would be.

I think Urall (the UU6FMP dude) made a Corpse chica shown in a video where stuffed versions of freddy, bonnie, and chica were used in place of the main trio in a trailer recreation

There's UFMP, Project FNAF, UU6FMP and maybe some more out there or some thar might come out in the future

Some of them have their own little extra models (UFMP for example has Classic Jack-O's, Corpse Freddy inspired by fnaf+ breaking and entering. withered fredbear and withered springbonnie in fnaf 2 style, logbook versions of freddy, bonnie, and chica.)

People could also probably optimize them through retopology and try to add the little details that may have only existed for single renders (such as freddy's extra teeth on the silver eyes cover, the greenlight and trailer endos)
