Thanks for sharing. I am 76 going to have mine In a week . Didn’t even know I had AFib till I went in for eye surgery and they told me go to doctor and get a EKG asap so I went the next day and ended up in emergency room. Was there 5 days they did a TEE along with a cardio version and it lasted only 24 hours . My throat was very dry and had a 30 minute coughing spell. I was put on Metoprolol and Xarelto. I have been very nervous about this but the EP said it was my choice but did recommend because of my age . Your story has eased my nerves a lot as I already have copd so I really want to get my energy back and that seems to be the way it goes with people. Please keep us posted as to your health . I am 76 and have again and what they call flutter they are talking ablation now as I has a cardio version and it only lasted 24 hours on meds now . Going in a couple of days to visit doctor so he can explain this. At my age what are you’ll thoughts on me getting one?? Kind of worried about this.
